PRAYA Palazzo, one of Bangkok's most unique Riverside hotels, is using Thailand's rich culinary heritage as part of its anniversary events that begin this month.

A special dinner menu featuring dishes from recipes dated over a hundred years ago is the centerpiece of the package designed to celebrate this special milestone. The package also includes accommodation, daily breakfasts, Thai tea after lunch and a tour of the picturesque Banglamphu area located across the Chao Phraya River from Praya Palazzo.

"Praya Palazzo is a love letter to the past in a city that always looks toward the future," said Kittisak "Kit" Pattamasae, General Manager of Montara Hospitality. "Any birthday is important, but 100 years is special. So we decided to celebrate the anniversary by highlighting cuisine and other aspects such as the hotel's architecture and its location near Bangkok's most historic districts, making it unique in the city."

Praya Palazzo, one of the most attractive historic hotels along the legendary royal river, is known for its respect towards Bangkok's incredible heritage. Located in a palatial mansion built 100 years ago and accessible only by boat, the hotel was originally a residence of a nobleman close to Thailand's royal family. After decades of neglect, the property was carefully restored into a beautiful and cozy historic hotel.

One of the main treasures of the property is Praya Dining, a MICHELIN Guide award-winning restaurant known as one of Bangkok's top places to explore Thailand's rich culinary legacy. Inside, it exudes a historical atmosphere that complements its culinary offerings, connecting icons from the Sukhothai and Ayutthaya kingdoms with Rattanakosin and modern Bangkok.

The dinner menu, including recipes from royal kitchens along with other timeless classics, was created to reflect this respect. Among the dishes: appetizers such as latien (fried shrimp cutlet with onions and peanuts wrapped in a thin egg mesh) and pla neung (fried meat with betel leaves and fresh herbs). Main dishes include mupad som si (fried pork with yellow pepper) and chuchigun manam (deep-fried river prawn with red curry).

"Thai cuisine has achieved worldwide popularity, which is proof of the complex traditions of cooking passed down through generations," added Kit. "At Praya Dining, we celebrate this legacy and will continue doing so when Praya Palazzo marks its 100th anniversary."
