Technology of Suspended Ceiling Production

The technology of suspended ceilings (production technology) consists of several stages.

The first one is manufacturing suspended ceilings using special equipment. The key point here is the installation working on high frequency currents (HF). Thanks to them, PVC film is used to produce a suspended ceiling. Using HF equipment helps manufacture suspended ceilings in industrial quantities. There are several types of such machines, and depending on the production volume, they can have one or two tables, one or two generators.

Many companies manufacturing suspended ceilings prefer Weldech (Taiwan) equipment based on price-quality ratio. The direct importer of Taiwanese equipment in Russia is the company Dilor.

The manufacturing technology of suspended ceilings is very important, as the quality of the entire product depends on it.

After the suspended ceiling factory creates its base, the following stages prepare the fabric for installation:

Material cutting using special software to achieve higher accuracy of specified parameters.

Welding separate pieces into a single fabric using high frequency currents, which allows for invisible seams.

A hook is welded around the perimeter of the fabric for mounting it to fixing surfaces.

After this, the fabric is ready for special packaging for safe storage or further transportation.

Production of accessories — another important process that creates all necessary elements for suspended ceiling installation.

Suspended ceilings from foreign manufacturers are very popular. Many craftsmen believe that the best suspended ceiling manufacturers are Germany, France, and Italy. Russia also has its suspended ceiling production facilities.

Information about specific features of various manufacturers can help choose a suspended ceiling. The Russian market presents three main groups of suspended ceiling producers:

First group. This includes European manufacturers (France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy). Many Russian companies use materials from these countries (e.g., company "Sky Line", "Sigma").

Matte suspended ceilings are almost identical in quality among all firms, while glossy ones have leaders among French factories. Foreign manufacturers offer more than 200 color options, producing innovations such as metallic, chameleon, pearl, and marble. The warranty for European suspended ceilings is 10 years. Regarding fabric width, German manufacturers produce film up to 295 cm.

Second group. The film production in this case occurs on Russian territory. There are three main Russian factories: Kazan factory, Nizhny Novgorod factory, and Ivanovo factory.

Russian films are one of the cheapest options for suspended ceilings. The film width is no more than 142 cm.

IMPORTANT! If at any point during the sale of film ceilings, you are offered a fabric wider than 142 cm, claiming it's an "indigenous product," do not hesitate — the country of origin for this material is China, not Russia.

Russia produces matte and glossy films that can be white or colored. Unfortunately, most color suspended ceilings fade quickly, and the warranty for Russian suspended ceiling manufacturers is usually only 1 to 3 years. Naturally, there are also high-quality producers with a 10-year warranty on their films.

Third group. The film for suspended ceilings made in China. Production of suspended ceilings in this country exceeds all imaginable limits. However, the quality of such products leaves much to be desired.

Chinese film for suspended ceilings does not meet hygienic requirements and should not be used in residential premises.

The range of Chinese manufacturers is very wide, they produce matte, satin, and glossy films mainly in white. Colored film from China is rarely used due to a limited color palette and low quality. However, if you want to install a suspended ceiling made of colored Chinese film, the maximum width will not exceed 3 meters.
