MOOD Dental Clinic by Tsou Arquitectos

The new MOOD – Medicina Dentária clinic in the city of Maia has a floor area of approximately 80 square meters on the first floor, with additional space in the basement connected by stairs.

Two interconnected dental rooms and corresponding service areas (bathroom and cloakroom), as well as a reception and waiting area are provided.

The clinic's configuration facilitates placing dental rooms near the southern window, which has wider dimensions and is more suitable. Based on this preliminary definition, public areas (reception, waiting and corridors) are located near the large front window facing east, leaving technical and service zones in internal parts.

The functional organization is defined by a wall/membrane separating public and private zones.
This wall forms various public spaces, creating a decorative panel that shields the entire front window.
The sculptural wall is clad in wood, with doors hidden within the structure of the wall itself.

The proposed materiality conveys a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Textures are tactile and natural.

The floor with vinyl texture 'sandy color' ensures visual comfort while meeting requirements for durability and hygiene. Private areas follow the same aesthetic concept, with washable decorative wallpapers for walls.

The front window with a diaphragm curtain provides desired comfort. All rooms prefer built-in soft ambient lighting.
