Crab Ministry by HDC Design
The two-story towers on Xiaozhi Street in Chengdu, Sichuan Province have become one of the most popular attractions over the past two years. Located right on Xiaozhi Street, BOX·MOC offers a view of the two-story towers and has an amazing panoramic outlook.

Crab Ministry, a Sri Lankan brand that has been recognized as one of the top 50 restaurants in Asia in recent years, is now located in Chengdu and aims to win more customers and business. The restaurant is divided into two floors, with the first floor serving as a bar and the second as a restaurant.

The bar design was centered on concepts. We wanted to create a free and stylish place that would also be distinctive and memorable on Xiaozhi Street. We incorporated angel wings supporting the entire first floor, making it a central element. Special lighting brings life to the wings as if they are about to take off, adding universality and dramatic tension to the bar.

Since the first floor of the restaurant receives a lot of natural light and has a great view of the two-story towers, we decided not to block this view with additional elements. Instead, we focused on creating a vaulted ceiling decorated with individual lighting. The entire ceiling is illuminated and the appearance is transparent and elegant, making BOX·MOC stand out on Xiaozhi Street.
