If you are choosing wallpapers, for example, for a bedroom, you can select wallpapers with a starry sky pattern. Germany produces wallpapers with a painted starry sky. If desired, you can apply a special glowing solution to the stars that illuminates during nighttime.

Wallpapers on a felt base are very popular. It is much easier to paste them than any other type, and less adhesive is used. They are non-toxic and due to their dense structure, they hide wall imperfections.
New technologies have not left this field untouched. 3D wallpapers have appeared on the market, which are perfect for large rooms and look quite realistic. With 3D technology, you can make a sky or a bridge, for example.
Choose the ceiling color according to the room's purpose. In a bedroom, beige or white tones can be used. Blue and lavender suit living rooms or bathrooms well; these colors are calming and relaxing. If you are a luxury lover, black color is for you. But it can only be used with backlighting; otherwise, it will add gloom instead of luxury and status.

How to Choose the Right Ceiling Wallpapers?
Ceiling wallpapers were recently displaced from the market by suspended ceilings, ceiling tiles, and other types of ceiling finishes. However, as they provide high decorative possibilities for a small price, they have returned to our market.
Both domestic and foreign companies produce ceiling wallpapers. German wallpapers are particularly distinguished by quality, but they don't have specific products for ceilings. In Western countries, regular wallpapers designed for painting are typically used on ceilings.

If the room is not particularly large, then glossy wallpapers will suit you. They have good reflective properties and visually enlarge the ceiling.
An unconventional solution is to apply bamboo wallpapers to the ceiling. These wallpapers have several advantages over others: they are:
- eco-friendly;
- versatile;
- practical and durable.

Wallpapers for Painting on Ceiling: For or Against?
Nothing masks the main defects better than wallpapers for painting on ceiling. Besides this, they have two major advantages:
- the possibility of applying any pattern, even the most unusual one;
- the pattern can be changed an unlimited number of times without any problems. This is relevant for rooms where wallpapers quickly get dirty (e.g., kitchens).
If you decide to apply a pattern and not change it further, you can seal the paint on top, and now you can safely wash them.
What to paint wallpapers for painting? Nearly any type of paint will work: latex, acrylic, or water-emulsion.
New in the World of Renovations – Liquid Wallpapers for Ceiling!
Recently, a new type of wallpaper has emerged in the construction world – liquid wallpapers for ceiling, which immediately found their fans and a niche among other finishing materials. When choosing from a vast array of materials, pay attention to this innovation, as it has many advantages:
- - they can be applied to almost any surface, whether it's cement screed, clay, metal, wood, or gypsum board;
- - liquid ceiling wallpapers fill all gaps and therefore do not require prior ceiling leveling;
- - they are ideal for hard-to-reach places (e.g., corners, radiators, cornices, and switches);
- - no seams are visible afterward, significantly simplifying application (no need to align patterns);
- - no smell or dust during work.
Composition of Liquid Wallpapers
Liquid wallpapers are sold in boxes and come as a powder. Their composition includes:
- natural pigments;
- mica;
- cotton and cellulose fibers.
In addition to these main components, gold threads or silk may be included to give a special structure. Due to their fibrous structure, they provide excellent sound insulation and improve the acoustic properties of the room.
How to Apply Wallpapers on Ceiling?
Ceiling Preparation:
Before applying wallpapers on ceiling, it is necessary to properly prepare it. Ceiling preparation begins with cleaning the previous finishing material. If the old wallpapers do not adhere well to the wall, use a damp roller. If the previous ceiling coating is emulsion paint, simply wash the surface with soap and sand it down. Remove lime with hot water and a cloth.
Spackle the ceiling only if there are significant defects. However, you will still need to prime the ceiling, which improves adhesion of the wallpapers and increases the durability of your renovation.
Make a marking on the ceiling beforehand so that the wallpapers are applied parallel to light rays (this will make joints less visible). If you plan to apply wallpapers for painting, this is not necessary.
Preparing the Adhesive:
Prepare the adhesive half an hour before applying the wallpapers, according to the manufacturer's instructions. Ensure no lumps form in it – they will be visible under the wallpapers. To prevent lumps, stir the adhesive thoroughly for 10 minutes. The application of wallpapers on ceiling should be done with a thick but not thick adhesive. Choose the adhesive according to your wallpaper type.
Applying Adhesive to the First Roll:
If you are using paper wallpapers, let them sit for a few minutes after coating with adhesive to soften. If the wallpapers are felt or imported, coat the ceiling with adhesive.
Use a brush or roller to apply the adhesive. Apply it from the center to the edges.
Applying wallpapers on ceiling is problematic for one person, as one person stands on the floor and feeds the soaked wallpapers, while another, standing on a ladder, applies them.
Join the end of the roll to the previously drawn marking line, ensuring a 1–2 cm overlap with the wall. Press the center of the roll across its width and move from the center to the edges with your hands, pressing the wallpapers down. Do this with clean hands or a rubber roller.
Applying Adhesive to Other Rolls:
All other rolls are applied edge-to-edge with the first one. Ensure that the joints are well glued. If adhesive seeps out of the joints, wipe it off immediately with a clean cloth; otherwise, yellow stains will remain. With good adhesives, this won't happen, but it's better to be safe.
After completing all the work, make sure there are no drafts or temperature fluctuations in the room.
