As a result of the renovation, a stylish and functional workspace was created, where every detail has been thought out

Designer Polina Andreeva completely refreshed the interior of a small kitchen in a three-room Khrushchyovka. The client inherited the apartment from her father, an architect, who personally worked on renovations for ten years and lived there. He sealed off the entrance to the kitchen, increasing the functionality of the space. The apartment has gas, so the doors were left as they were.

Kitchen before renovation

Corner cabinet. Opposite the entrance, they opted out of wall-mounted cabinets to avoid cluttering the space. The cabinet fronts are in a pleasant gray-beige tone with panels and black knob-style handles. The kitchen was custom-made to maximize the small area.

The wood-textured countertop became the accent against the neutral cabinet.

The microwave was not built-in — a separate shelf niche was provided for it, and a socket was planned deep in the wall. Lower cabinets were placed opposite the entrance on the wall, and only a cylindrical range hood was installed above.

The backsplash was almost extended to the ceiling, with a mint-colored glazed tile as an accent. The gas pipe was painted to match the wall color to make it less noticeable. A Roman curtain was installed at the window, a very convenient solution for a kitchen.
