Universal Design in a Studio Apartment 37 m²: Everything Thought Through to the Last Detail
Excellent example of harmonious distribution of living space: nothing extra, and everything necessary is within reach.
We tell how designer Marina Sarkisyan decorated a Moscow studio.
LOCATION: MoscowAREA: 37 sq. m
ROOMS: 1
BATHROOMS: 1
DESIGN: Marina Sarkisyan
PHOTOGRAPHY: Maria Irynarhova
Relocation
Marina created this interior at the request of a family planning to move their son into the apartment. The studio was initially intended for renting, so the designer had to create a rather universal space.

Initially, there was no finishing or partitions. The kitchen was not moved anywhere, but simply isolated with quality ventilation.
A partition made of slats was installed between the living room and bedroom, and a shower cabin was successfully built into the niche of the bathroom.
Finishing
The walls were painted in a light gray tone, and the accent was created using red gypsum brick.

Instead of laminate on the floor, ceramic granite with wood and stone imitation was laid.

Storage and Furniture
A full-size wardrobe with Elfa system was installed in the apartment, as well as a built-in cabinet in the hallway.
Only the most essential furniture was selected — all items harmonize perfectly with each other and do not disrupt the overall interior concept.

Decoration
The windows were draped with Roman curtains, the shades of which echo the pillows and room flowers.

Alongside throws and scented candles, the decor is enhanced by a vibrant painting in the center of one of the living room walls.
