37 sqm Home Accessible to All: Where Elon Musk Lives After Selling All His Property
The Most Unusual Residence for a Billionaire
Elon Musk announced his intention to get rid of all his real estate back in the previous year: the founder of Tesla wanted to dedicate himself to Mars and Earth, and his property was weighing him down. Although some thought Musk was bluffing, the billionaire kept his word — recently he listed his last mansion for sale.
However, Musk did not end up without a roof over his head and arranged new housing for himself. The truth is, his current home is very different from the usual apartments of billionaires. We tell you where Elon settled after selling all his real estate.
Steps from Work
If you commute to the office for several hours and get exhausted, take inspiration from Musk's example. For his new home, the entrepreneur chose the most convenient location: the building is in Boca Chica, near the place where SpaceX manufactures Starship rockets. "My home is a 50,000-dollar dwelling on the "Starbase" which I rent from SpaceX. It's very cool," he said on Twitter. Yes, now Elon literally lives at work.

We are used to the idea that billionaires live in huge luxurious mansions with exquisite design, unique furniture, and decorative items. But Elon breaks all stereotypes in his own example: his new residence doesn't resemble the property of a person on Forbes' list.
Musk moved into a compact modular home: the apartment is about 37 sqm, and its cost is $50,000 (around 3.5 million rubles). It's cheaper than a base Tesla Model X configuration.

Essentially, it resembles a constructor: the house is made from modular panels that can be easily disassembled, transported to a new location, and reassembled in a few hours. By the way, the above-mentioned Tesla Model X is great at transporting real estate. The manufacturers claim that this mobile home is very sturdy and durable: it's made from concrete panels and steel fasteners.
What About the Interior?
Perhaps from the outside, Elon's home looks like a transport container, but inside it hides a full apartment studio.
Photo: facebook.com/secretfirmyThe large room is divided into several zones: it includes a bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and even a living room. Of course, there's no talk of panoramic windows or balconies, but enough light enters the house, and a minimalist white color was chosen for the wall finishes. The space is organized very thoughtfully: furniture with doors and drawers serves as both a wardrobe and TV cabinet, separating the bedroom from the living room. Even the dining table is an extension of the kitchen countertop, saving space.
What Else Fit into This Small House?
Elon's housing once again proves that small area is not an obstacle to comfortable living arrangements. A double bed was placed in the bedroom, opposite which a rotating TV is installed.

Unfortunately, no. Musk's new home is indeed affordable but not for Russian residents: at this point, only U.S. citizens can get similar apartments. But even they will have to be patient: before the news about the billionaire's move, over 1,000 people had already paid for pre-orders, creating a queue. It seems that this number has significantly increased now.
