This page is also available in the following languages:🇷🇺🇺🇦🇫🇷🇩🇪🇪🇸🇵🇱🇨🇳

The situation with coronavirus has stabilized, and if most foreign resorts were inaccessible to us last summer, there are places to have fun in 2021.

We tell you which countries have opened their borders for tourists and where you can relax by the sea this summer. Spoiler: Turkey, which was a favorite of Russians, is not on the list, but there are plenty of other options.

Due to the epidemiological situation, please make sure you familiarize yourself in detail with the entry conditions for each of these countries (before crossing the border to most of them, you must take a PCR test or provide a vaccination certificate).

Beautiful Cyprus with its mountains, citrus groves, coniferous forests and golden beaches has opened its arms to foreign tourists in 2021.

The bathing season here begins in May. The sea usually warms up to +24 degrees in June, and by August it reaches +28 degrees. Summer in Cyprus is hot and sunny, with an average temperature of +30 in June and sometimes up to +40 in August, so it's most comfortable to vacation on the island at the beginning of summer. Note that the west of Cyprus (Paphos) is cooler than the east (Larnaca, Ayia Napa).

Travelers who have completed the full course of vaccination with the Russian vaccine 'Sputnik V' can come to Cyprus without a coronavirus test certificate. All other passengers must take a test within 72 hours before departure and present the corresponding documentation upon arrival.

Egypt delights with comfortable beach holidays, excellent service, delicious food and interesting entertainment. The most beautiful Red Sea attracts tourists with exciting diving (coral reefs and colorful fish alone are worth it!). And you can also visit the pyramids and ancient temples where the movie 'The Mummy' was filmed.

It's very hot and dry in Egypt during summer, which makes it easier to handle high temperatures than when humidity is high. Air temperature rises to +35 degrees from June to August, and the sea temperature never drops below +25 degrees.

Charter flights from cities to Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh have not yet started, but you can fly there through Cairo.

Every tourist entering Egypt must have a negative result of the coronavirus test. The analysis must be done no later than 72 hours before entering the country.

Tunisia attracts tourists with its beautiful beaches with fine white sand, clean sea water and comfortable hotels offering therapeutic treatments inherited from former French colonizers.

In addition to beach holidays, Tunisia offers opportunities to explore fantastic landscapes of the Sahara, see olive plantations and admire masterpieces of Arab-Muslim and European architecture.

It's dry and hot in Tunisia during summer. In June, the daily air temperature on African coast resorts reaches +32 degrees, and water temperature is about +22 degrees. In July and August it becomes even hotter — air temperature rises to +34 degrees, and sea temperatures reach up to +27 degrees.

Travelers arriving in the country as part of organized tours through tour operators must provide a negative PCR test result for coronavirus obtained no earlier than 72 hours before flight registration. Independent travelers must observe a one-week quarantine in one of the hotels designated by authorities upon arrival.

Greece was one of the first countries to decide to open its borders for foreign tourists.

Here are some fairy-tale beautiful resorts like Crete, Santorini, Corfu, Rhodes and Mykonos with their sunny coasts, cypress trees and vineyards, friendly taverns and shops full of olive oil.

Swimming and sunbathing in Greece is pleasant any summer month. From June to August, the average air temperature is +30 degrees, and the water warms up to +25 degrees.

When entering the country, Russians must present either a vaccination certificate completed at least 14 days before travel, or a negative PCR test made within 72 hours before entry. A certificate of having had the disease and possessing antibodies is also acceptable.

The Maldives are famous for their breathtaking scenery, luxurious beaches, blue lagoons and coral reefs. You can relax all year round, but keep in mind that summer on the islands is not the most comfortable season for vacation due to tropical rains. However, they usually last only 3 hours a day and are short-lived. The average daytime air temperature on the Maldives is +30 degrees, and the sea is just a few degrees cooler.

Besides enjoying sunbaths, swimming in emerald water and eating exotic fruits, you can go diving and take a sea excursion to dolphins.

The Maldives resort islands were among the first to open for foreigners, and to make things easier for our tourists, Russian airlines increased flight frequencies in this direction in 2021.

To enter the Maldives, tourists must provide negative results of a coronavirus PCR test. This applies to citizens who have been vaccinated as well.

The sun shines all year round on Cuba, and the breeze comes from the Caribbean Sea. Dense palm canopies, white sandy beaches and crystal-clear water make the island of freedom a paradise on earth. The most popular Cuban resort areas are Varadero, elite Olgin, and the islands of Cayo Coco, Cayo Largo and Cayo Guillermo.

Summer in Cuba brings brief tropical showers in the afternoon, with air temperature rising to +35 degrees and water temperature reaching up to +29 degrees.

The beaches, service, and atmosphere on Cuba remain almost unchanged despite the restrictive measures, except for staff wearing masks.

Citizens of Russia must present a negative result of the coronavirus test before flying to Cuba. Upon arrival, tourists take a free PCR test.

The UAE is a fairy-tale country of sheiks, an oasis in endless deserts and a paradise for shoppers — it has been open to tourists since September 2020.

It's very hot and humid in the UAE during summer: the average daytime air temperature is +40 degrees, but it can reach up to +45 degrees. However, in the heat, air conditioning is widely used on UAE resorts — from bus stops to hotels. If high thermometers don't scare you, then in summer you can enjoy the lack of crowds and visit legendary skyscrapers, shopping centers, and museums without hustle or bustle, as well as go on a jeep safari in the Dubai desert for a small fee.

All tourists flying to the UAE or transferring there must present a negative test for coronavirus made no earlier than 72 hours before the trip.
