Psychologist: What Does Your Bedroom Say About You?
The bedroom is a zone of maximum comfort, a place to rest and relax, a space solely for yourself. Here everyone knows what exactly helps create an atmosphere of spiritual peace and prepares you for sleep.
Regardless of the size, a bedroom always reflects the owner's character, telling about their habits, preferences, and needs.
This is not only about interior design but also about space organization. Even completely identical rooms can be arranged differently. We asked a psychologist to explain how a bedroom can lift the veil of personal life and reveal details about a person's character and habits.

People perceive the world in different ways: auditory, visual, and kinesthetic types.
In the first case, a person understands reality mainly through sounds, tone, and volume. For visual types, color and form are most important. Kinesthetically oriented people find it easier to perceive the world through touch and sensations.
Design: Iryna DolganovaAuditory types prefer to listen to quiet music or the hum of a television in the bedroom. They fall asleep well to the sound of rain, and sometimes they need to hear the noise of a city to fall asleep.
Their bedroom's interior always includes a TV and an alarm clock with radio. A phone is most likely not set to silent mode.
Design: Iryna DolganovaVisual types like to look at a flickering candle or fire in a fireplace before sleep. They can watch TV without sound, read a book, or observe fish in an aquarium.
Visual types often have paintings and many designer items in their bedroom to admire before sleep and relax.
Design: Olga KondratovaKinesthetically oriented individuals prefer a soft bed, comfortable pajamas, and a fluffy pillow. They turn off the lights and silence sounds because for deep and restful sleep, they only need to feel their body. Kinesthetically oriented individuals choose large and comfortable beds, while others are satisfied with fold-out sofas.
Moreover, in a kinesthetically oriented person's bedroom, you might find a yoga mat or dumbbells.
Design: Irina VasilievaThose who, recalling a life event, first remember a scent prefer to apply essential oils on their skin or light an aromatherapy candle before sleep.
When waking up, they enjoy the smell of baked goods or freshly brewed coffee.

This helps each of us enjoy restful sleep, recharge our energy, and wake up feeling full of life and excitement for the new day.
