6 small and cozy countryside cottages
We dedicate this post to everyone who couldn't go to the countryside this spring. Let's dream and choose the perfect countryside cottage for you
Even on the smallest area, everything necessary can be arranged — owners of these cottages have proven this with their personal experience. And all we have left is to be inspired by their ideas.
Small and cozy cottage on wheels
The owner of this cottage had dreamed of it for a long time. Arranging everything necessary on 25 square meters was not difficult — there was space for a full kitchen, a living room, and a bedroom. There's even a wardrobe — because every girl needs one.
Swedish cottage with an open terrace
The owners of this 33 square meter cottage decided to use the space to its maximum. Therefore, they built an additional floor inside (actually a loft) and set up a cozy bedroom upstairs. They left more space downstairs for the kitchen and living room.
Garage that was converted into a countryside cottage
When the artist had to move out of her apartment, she turned an old garage into a wonderful 23 square meter cottage. There's no feeling of crowding or darkness inside: there is only one window, but large glass doors that keep the room open all day long.
Swedish cottage that was renovated by its owners
A family couple accidentally came across this cottage during a walk and decided to buy it and renovate it. They designed a spacious kitchen-living room, sleeping areas, and a relaxation zone on 24 square meters. They also built a small guest cottage on the property and created a large garden.
Micro-cottage in the forest
To avoid feeling cramped on 33 square meters, the owners chose not to install interior doors between rooms and replaced them with thick curtains. For bedroom decoration, they designed two niches with local lighting and storage boxes.
Small countryside cottage in Denmark
It may seem that a large family would find 43 square meters too tight, but it's not the case. The cottage has everything needed: an open terrace, a small bathroom, a passage kitchen, a dining-living room, and three bedrooms. One of the bedrooms is located on the attic floor to save space.
