“Chocolate” Living Room

Very few people in the world don't like chocolate – it's a great natural stress reliever. That's exactly why this color was chosen for the living room's design.

“Chocolate” Living Room

Very few people in the world don't like chocolate – it's a great natural stress reliever. That's exactly why this color was chosen for the living room's design. Given the room's size (low ceilings, small square footage), it was essential to visually expand the space and make it feel taller.

These goals were perfectly achieved using glossy suspended ceilings, long vertical curtains reaching the floor, tall floor lamps, wooden elements in the interior, contrast between light parquet, furniture, ceiling, and dark curtains, bookshelves, and a low coffee table. General room lighting uses recessed ceiling spotlights, while tall floor lamps and wall sconces provide accent lighting in key zones.

Small Bedroom in Rosy Pearl Tone

Designed in warm natural tones, this small bedroom exudes coziness and comfort. Clean geometric shapes, simple lines, and understated details soothe and relax, which is crucial for a bedroom’s atmosphere. All three walls are decorated differently but connected through common design elements. A backlit rectangular zone above the bed features textured wallpaper with a circular pattern.

The wall to the right of the bed is decorated with small framed pictures in rectangular chocolate-toned (matching furniture) passe-partouts. Accent pieces on this wall include a decorative circular plate and round wall clocks. Opposite the bed, a sleek dark glossy wall unit combines a dresser, wardrobe, and functional shelves. The central element is a must-have modern item – a TV. The pattern on the wall unit is mirrored in the headboard design.

Sunlit Room for a Teenage Girl

Different accents are used in the next room. Again, contrast is key: dark parquet vs. light relaxation zones, light walls vs. dark shelves and the frame of a large mirror. But this is a girl’s bedroom, so the wall behind the bed opposite the mirror is decorated with delicate, warm sun-colored photo wallpapers – a gentle yellow rose with droplets of dew. The same-colored Roman blinds with a contrasting vertical stripe create the illusion of taller windows and seem to bring even more sunlight into the room.

Velvet bedding and a chair upholstered in the same fabric are two delicate, feminine touches in the room’s design. The study area is located near the window for optimal natural light. An original-shaped desk lamp serves as an additional light source. The entire room feels clean, cozy, spacious, modern, and bright.

Narrow and Long Children’s Room

Designing the room for a young girl required significant effort. The room is narrow and long, with only one window. The child needs both a vibrant, colorful space for play and a calmer area for studying. The same color palette – rose-brown – was chosen, with functional furniture featuring numerous cabinets, drawers, and wall shelves above the bed for favorite toys.

All furniture was placed along one wall. The opposite wall features joyful, bright photo wallpapers of Masha – the heroine of a popular cartoon. These bring positive energy, and the warm autumn forest with glimpses of sunlight seems to add light to the room. The corner desk is positioned opposite the only window, which serves as the main light source. For evening use, ceiling spotlights and a desk lamp are provided. The bed is decorated with many small, bright cushions, and a large, vibrant butterfly pattern on a calm-toned rug adds charm.

This apartment example once again proves that minimalist style isn’t dull – it suits everyone when carefully chosen details are used.
