Mirror Ceilings
Brief description of mirror ceilings
Mirror ceilings are suitable for both residential and office spaces: lobbies, restaurants, game rooms, swimming pools, or bathrooms will look, first of all, larger and brighter, and secondly, more presentable. Mirror panels are practical: ventilation grilles and fire safety systems can be easily installed within them.
Mirror ceilings can not only visually expand a room, but also hide serious defects: wall curvature, irregular ceiling shape, indentations, or protrusions on the surface.

Mirror panels can be used not only in standard clear glass, but also in blue, bronze, gray, green, pink, tinted, and antique-style mirrors.
Size of mirror panels may vary depending on customer preferences and room specifics where the suspended ceiling will be installed.
Standard mirror tiles are available for purchase. You can buy square panels with sizes of 292, 395, 495, 595, 895, and 1,195 cm, as well as rectangular sections measuring 295×595 and 295×895 cm.

Regardless of color or size, these panels are universal and share the same mounting system, enabling combinations of different colors and sizes, as well as integration with other ceiling types (cassette, rod ceilings). Besides standard layout, mirror panels can also be installed diagonally.
Optional faceting is available: a beveled and polished edge along the panel perimeter, enhancing the ceiling’s noble appearance.

Installation of mirror ceilings
Mirror ceilings are installed using universal suspension systems T-24 and T-15 (brands: Donn (Germany), Geipel (Germany), Armstrong (UK), Albes (Russia)). Mounting systems are available in various colors: chrome, gold (gloss and matte), metallic (silver), 'raspberry' shade, black, or classic white.
Visible profile dimensions:
- T-24 − 24 mm;
- T-15 − 15 mm.
Profile lengths:
- main load-bearing profile − 3.7 m;
- intermediate profiles − 1.2 m, 0.9 m, and 0.6–0.3 m.
Universal profiles must be fixed to the base ceiling using special hangers.
IMPORTANT! For those who doubt the reliability of suspended ceilings, note that one hanger per square meter can support up to 30 kg.
After securing the main profile, intermediate profiles are attached using special self-locking connectors (located at the ends of the profiles).

The suspension system conceals any under-ceiling utilities: ventilation and plumbing pipes, electrical conduits.
Another major advantage: damaged sections can be easily replaced. If needed, you can disassemble the suspended mirror ceiling yourself, access the base ceiling, perform repairs, and reassemble the ceiling.
Decorating mirror ceilings
Besides choosing color and faceting, mirror ceilings can also be enhanced with a glass-printed design using various techniques.
Several types of decorative patterns are available, including clear and colored designs.
A clear pattern is an image without lacquer coating, which takes on the color of the primary lighting: green lighting produces a greenish effect, blue lighting gives a blue appearance.
A colored pattern is based on a clear one. The difference lies in coating the base image with special lacquers containing pigments. A colored pattern appears brighter and more three-dimensional.
Types of mirror surfaces for ceiling finishing
Three main types are available:
- highly reflective mirror surface with natural mirror reflection;
- matte mirror surface, fully frosted, and available in various colors;
- transparent glass surface made from frosted glass (ideal for rooms requiring soft, matte lighting).
IMPORTANT! On frosted translucent glass, a clear pattern can be left uncolored, giving the ceiling a restrained and elegant look.

Standard pattern types on mirror surfaces:
- straight edge pattern;
- angled edge pattern;
- fragment pattern;
- centered image;
- pattern around lighting fixture openings.
Matte or glossy ceiling: which is better?
Glossy finishes reflect more light and create stronger reflections, while matte ones are easier to clean and appear more understated. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference.
There are no functional or technical differences between these mirror panels.
Mirror ceiling: pricing
Mirror panels can be purchased from $35 per 600×600 mm panel.
