Excellent Idea: Grandma's Furniture in Scandinavian Interior
In this apartment, designers have done almost the impossible — they combined functionality and modern minimalism with antique furniture that has been here since the beginning. For example, they preserved and repainted the wooden kitchen cabinet with a door to the storeroom. Despite its age, the storeroom still serves as additional storage space.

The finishing of the 46 square meter apartment predominantly features light tones: wooden flooring, white furniture, doors and light textiles. The wide windows (in all rooms!) and large window arches that were preserved from the time of the house's construction fill the apartment with light.

The kitchen in the apartment has enough space — a full 17 square meters. On one side is a wooden kitchen cabinet that designers restored and painted with white paint. On the other side is a white kitchen unit with white fronts. The kitchen has an unusual shape: one wall seems to be curved. Because of this, the leading color here is white, to make the space look larger.

The living room is the largest room in the apartment. Here it's spacious and cozy. Around are antique items: an old table by the wall and a large mirror in a golden frame, standing on a former wall shelf. If you look closely, you can see Chinese porcelain figurines and fantasize about how they came to be here.

The bedroom leads from the living room through large double doors. The key feature here is a large double bed and an airy canopy made by hand above it. On both sides are wardrobes, one of which has a mirror door. It's convenient when there's nowhere to put a mirror.

The bathroom is small, but it has everything needed. To save space, designers removed the bathtub and installed a shower cabin, which created space for the sink and the cabinet underneath.

There is no dedicated space for a hallway in the apartment, but designers managed to mount a coat rack on the wall.
