We found ideas for student apartment decoration in project designs. It turns out that even on 18 square meters, you can find space for everything you need.

For the new academic year, we created an unusual selection of interiors. All these apartments were decorated for students, so the focus was on storage systems and workspace design. Take a look at what we came up with.

One-Room Apartment in St. Petersburg

In this apartment, a young musician lives, so designer Julia Kaufeldt had to find space for both a workspace and storage for musical instruments. A masculine interior in modern style was softened with vibrant furniture and decor — it turned out cozy.

One of the bathrooms was sacrificed to create a wardrobe, so storage problems didn't arise. The workspace was placed by the window in the bedroom — no one disturbs your studies here.

Compact Apartment with Kitchen in a Cabinet

To give more air to the space, designer Andrey Barinov slightly shifted the walls and joined the balcony. Almost all furniture was custom-made: to save space, the kitchen block was hidden behind doors painted to match the walls.

A bar table or balcony can be used as a workspace. For clothing storage, there is a large built-in wardrobe along the hallway and part of the living room.

Tiny Studio Apartment

Architect Anna Novopol'tseva faced a challenging task: to design an apartment of just 18 square meters. The small space was divided into several areas: the kitchen zone in the center, and sleeping area near the window.

There wasn't enough space for a full-size bed — it slides out from under the platform. To avoid making the space feel cramped, a simple finish and minimalist furniture were chosen.

Apartment for Work and Relaxation

For a young student who studies a lot, designer Maria Bezrukov decorated a bright apartment with vibrant accents. One large room was divided into two: bedroom and living room. To let in more light, glass windows were added to the partition wall.

There are many storage systems in the apartment: a floor-to-ceiling wardrobe in the entryway niche, as well as wardrobes in the bedroom. A shelf and bookcase for textbooks and electronics were placed near the workspace.

Studio in Scandinavian Style

Designer Daria Pak decorated this apartment for rent — presumably, a student will live here (the apartment is near Moscow State University). A small reconfiguration was made: the wardrobe and bathroom were enlarged at the expense of the corridor, and the balcony was insulated. The finish was chosen as neutral as possible.

Storage systems were provided for items: two wardrobes for clothes and shelves in the living room, as well as a cabinet for household items in the bathroom.
