Choosing Floor Covering for Quick Replacement: 5 Options
We explain which floor can be laid without prior base preparation, even on uneven surfaces. This means updating your interior is quite possible in just one weekend.
Linoleum
No thorough floor preparation is required for linoleum installation. The covering can be easily laid even on old wooden decking: just flatten the new linoleum roll, trim if necessary, and secure with adhesive.
For better adhesion, specialists recommend applying a primer to the floor surface. If the floor is very uneven, it's still recommended to level it beforehand to avoid deformation of the new covering.

PVC Tiles
PVC tiles look like natural wood or wooden flooring, but they are scratch-resistant, stain-resistant, and more wear-resistant. In addition to adhesive PVC tiles, there are interlocking ones that can be easily installed using a floating method by simply connecting the planks to each other.

Carpet
This material is suitable for living rooms with low traffic: bedrooms or children's rooms. Carpet can be laid on any surface: concrete, old linoleum, or even parquet, and leveling the floor is not required.
All you need to do is clean the surface beforehand. Then lay the carpet roll and leave it for at least several hours, preferably overnight. This makes the material flat, and it becomes easier to secure it with adhesive.

Modular Carpet Tiles
Carpet tiles are essentially carpet cut into pieces. Therefore, they are even easier to install: you don't need to level a large area. Simply mark the floor and attach modules using adhesive.
By the way, for this type of flooring, it's necessary to level the base to hide irregularities. Carpet tiles fit well on concrete and wood.

Artificial Grass
Artificial grass is typically used for sports and outdoor areas, but it can also be used to cover balconies or terraces. It looks like real grass but requires no special care and is easy to install.
The roll needs only to be secured around the perimeter with clips or skirting. It can be laid on concrete floors, old tiles, or laminate — just make sure to clean the surface thoroughly first.
