Frameless Chair
So, to make a frameless chair you will need:
- pattern paper
- ruler
- chalk (it can be replaced with a piece of dry soap)
- fabrics (in two varieties)
- zipper closure
- thread and scissors
- foam balls
- sewing machine.

Usually, chairs of this type consist of several equal-sized wedges and a round base.
You can experiment with the sizes and shapes of the wedges. However, if you are a beginner, it is better to choose simple forms, as this makes sewing seams and assembling parts easier.
Make covers from two types of fabric — inner and outer. A cheap and durable fabric is ideal for the inner cover. Choose the material for the outer cover according to your taste, remembering that durability remains the main criterion. The outer cover can be removed for washing. Thus, if desired, you can sew a removable outer cover.

After you have created the pattern, start assembling all parts into one whole and sew in the zipper closures and both covers.
The seams must be strong, so use reinforced thread that can withstand high loads.
Filling the Cover with Foam Balls

Use foam balls as filling, which you can buy in a building supply store or in a craft materials shop. Do not fill the cover too tightly; it should be filled about 70–75%. That way, the chair will be flexible and easy to change its configuration and shape. The filling is poured into the inner cover through the zipper.
When the inner cover is filled, put on the outer cover, zip up the zippers and enjoy your new chair. It is comfortable and ergonomic.
