Here, a dark palette, elegant finishing, and functional solutions come together

For the rental apartment project, designer Victoria Shapovalova aimed to create not just a stylish but also memorable interior. This is especially evident in the bathroom: everything has been thought out — from visual accents to practical zoning.

The space turned out compact yet expressive, with a well-considered architectural logic and a rich but not overloaded palette.

The main role in the decor is played by the combination of dark green tiles and black details. This pairing gives the interior a sense of intimacy and depth, evoking the aesthetics of hotels and private spas. The wall and bathtub cladding were chosen in a saturated green tone — it's subdued yet rich in undertones.

Although bright wallpapers on the bathroom walls might seem impractical, due to special lacquer treatment and quality ventilation they will last for years.

Contrast accents were added through brass fixtures: the touch brings life to the dark palette, adding a feeling of warmth and sophistication. Thanks to re-planning, the bathroom area was expanded and a full-size bathtub was installed — an important advantage for tenants.

Despite the small area, the space does not feel cramped: the bathtub placed along the far wall maintains a sense of depth.

Over the bathtub — a minimalist shower stall and a frameless glass partition: this maintains lightness and makes the area more modern.

Despite the dark palette, the bathroom does not look gloomy — all thanks to several lighting scenarios. The central light fixture provides even illumination, while the mirror's built-in backlight creates a soft and cozy glow.

This bathroom is an example of how even a small space can be made memorable.
