Increased the bathroom space by reconfiguration and decorated the interior in the 60s style

This bathroom is located in an old Stalin-era building. The apartment is quite spacious with high ceilings. But this advantage was once the only one. Before designers Olesya Tsapkina and Maria Naumenko stood the task of completely transforming the 'dead' interior of Soviet times and creating a modern setting comfortable for life and rest. Let's see how the bathroom changed thanks to the renovation.

Before the bathroom renovation, it consisted of two narrow non-functional rooms — their design did not please the eye. The walls were decorated with reddish paint, and the utilities inadvertently became decorative elements, protruding onto the surface.

The design of the new bathroom was created with a focus on light tones. The old coating and plumbing were completely replaced. The floor is covered with black-and-white tiles in a checkerboard pattern, part of the walls are clad with white square tiles, contrasted by black grout, and another part is painted with washable paint. This design and color combination visually expand the space and create a 60s atmosphere that fits perfectly into the architecture of Stalin-era buildings.

To the right of the entrance, in the niche, a cabinet with black roller shades was placed. It adds functionality and creates an interesting visual accent in the interior. An important addition was open shelves located above the cabinet. They are perfect for placing useful items and beautiful accessories.

There was also a stylish ceiling light that beautifully complements the mirror with a gold-weathered frame. This decorative element became the highlight of the design, adding touches of luxury and emphasizing the overall look.
