How to Create a Wow Interior in a Standard Panel House
We tell you about a real example of an apartment designed by Natalia Mitrakova
Designer Natalia Mitrakova transformed a boring apartment in an old building into a cozy interior with many bright accents, vintage elements, and unusual items from her travels. We've collected the most impressive tips.
Unusual Color for the Kitchen
We are already used to white, gray, and even blue kitchens. To create a wow effect, you need something more interesting. The cabinet in the color of boiled crayfish was custom-made — a non-standard color solution for a standard panel house. The countertop is made of Ossetian dolomite.

Mirror Side Panels
An interesting detail is mirror side panels with facets, and the countertop is made of stone. This trick increases natural light in the room and visually expands the window. Small outlets were installed on the side panels to plug in a lamp.

Camouflaged Storage Systems
In the hallway, there are several storage systems. The large wardrobe for clothes is camouflaged using mirror doors — it reflects the wall decoration. The doors of another technical cabinet are covered with the same wallpaper as the walls.

Handmade Wallpapers + Moldings
This is a very creative and effective solution. The wallpapers were painted by hand by Ekaterina Lobanova. They somewhat resemble landscapes of Louisiana and New Orleans. At a height of 40 cm, we applied moldings and painted the lower part with washable paint. This trick helps save a bit on wallpaper.

Colorful Bedroom from Floor to Ceiling
The main bedroom was painted in a warm yellowish olive oil tone, and not only the walls but also the ceiling were painted. This trick visually increases the amount of light in the interior, as the windows are small.

Mixing Different Textures, Shapes, and Decorative Elements
The interior should have variety so that the eye can rest on something. Use cushions with patterns and designs, carved mirrors, and decor.

Colorful Ceiling
Even the simplest ceramic granite in a bathroom changes the look when combined with a colorful ceiling. Take this trick note if you want to transform your interior with minimal effort.
