Spacious Loft-Style Kitchen, 10.6 sq m
Take note of ideas for creating a comfortable and stylish interior
Designers from MiR Buro decorated a 40 sq m studio for a young family with a child. The kitchen is isolated, with an area of 10.6 sq m. It features an angular kitchen cabinet and wall-mounted cabinets in the niche. The kitchen is separated from the living room by a hidden door.

For the kitchen decoration, the beloved loft style by the client was used. The floor is laminate imitating a French fir tree — it looks great.

The kitchen has raw walls — it's great that the clients agreed to this solution. Attention is drawn to the open section of the concrete load-bearing wall near the table and the hexagonal tile 'as concrete' on the backsplash. All these materials emphasize black elements — the range hood, air ducts, and metal elements support the loft theme.

"Probably, the biggest challenge was the plant basket above the kitchen table. This was one of the last elements of the interior, and the budget was already exhausted, so making it custom was expensive. In the end, the client found a handyman in St. Petersburg who, within the existing budget, welded this basket, and we didn't have to give up one of the style-defining elements," — designers say.
