Maximally Thought-Out Small Kitchen

About the project

Studio OSOME presented their concept of interior design for a compact two-level apartment that aligns with the modern SINGLE flat trend, perfectly suited for one person. The client prefers minimalism, simplicity, and monochromatic colors. He leads an active lifestyle, takes care of his finances, sincerely values comfort and quality of items. He appreciates stylish and modern spaces that promote reflection, rest, and immersion in one's thoughts.

On the first floor of the two-level space, a two-row parallel kitchen was placed without upper cabinets and a small console table for breakfasts.

To visually lighten the kitchen space, upper cabinets were omitted. A refrigerator, a built-in oven with microwave function, and a dishwasher were integrated into the lower kitchen cabinet under the countertop. A niche behind the apron was used for storing all necessary items.

For the kitchen, designers chose the Mix 22 model with facades made of particle board with melamine coating in the color 'Cashmere'. The zoning element of the kitchen-living room space is a combined island and TV zone, with a screen built into it from the living room side.

The main idea of this interior is the use of large geometric forms made from one material and one color to create a harmonious and unified space. The room design focuses on neutral and calm tones, while reflective surfaces and various textures are added to avoid overloading or cluttering the limited space.

To address issues of small space with low ceilings, visually light and minimalist materials were also used to add airiness: tinted mirrors and glass, linear lighting creating a floating effect, smooth furniture facades in natural wood and Mix 22 in black.
