Designer Olga Maganova unlocked the potential of the apartment by making a convenient reconfiguration

Designer Olga Maganova decorated a two-room apartment of 70 sq. m in a new building in Ufa for the client and her daughter. The client has a very responsible and energy-consuming profession, so she had neither the desire nor the time to spend on renovation and trips to building supply stores. The client fully delegated this task to the designer, and was very satisfied with the result.

Layout

During work on the project, a reconfiguration was made, which increased the kitchen-living room by using an adjacent storeroom, and also designed smart storage systems: a wardrobe in the entry area and a wardrobe in the child's room. Also, by using an adjacent corridor, the bathroom was enlarged and a large area for washing up was arranged - with two sinks.

Kitchen-Living Room

The kitchen and living room were zoned with furniture - a semi-island divides the space into a working area and a relaxation zone. The furniture arrangement is supported by different flooring: accent ceramic granite was used in the kitchen and calm laminate in the living room. Lighting became the final touch - pendant lights were placed above the island.

Thanks to proper zoning, the elongated shape of the room was transformed from a drawback into an advantage. One part houses the kitchen, closer to the window - the dining area and living room. Together they look harmonious, the functionality of one is directly related to the functionality of the other, so placing them in one zone is justified.

"At our first meeting, we discussed style and color palette. The client said she needed something calm, neutral, beige. But when looking at the ceramic granite in the store, the choice fell on a very "bold" tile with a bright accent black pattern. It turned out that the client actually likes bold color solutions, just didn't know how to combine them. So we got an amazing accent floor that greets guests in the entry hall and guides them to the kitchen-living room. Bold geometric 3D wallpapers I supported with a decorative wall in the TV area," - the designer tells.

Bedroom

The adult bedroom was not easy in terms of furnishing: it was necessary to place not only a bed and storage system, but also necessarily a workspace and a vanity table. In other words, it was necessary to make two rooms in one: a bedroom and an office.

"We placed the workspace closer to the window, a desk 120x60 cm, opposite it - a vanity table. These two zones visually separated from the bedroom with lamellas that go along the wall, run across the ceiling and drop down on the opposite wall. Also in this zone the ceiling was lowered, which gives a certain sense of intimacy to the atmosphere. Thus, without breaking the space and uniting it with a color palette, we skillfully divided zones," - Olga Maganova tells.

Child's Room

The owner's favorite color in the room is green, and she definitely wanted to see it in her room. Thus, a fresco in green tones appeared in the interior. In the room, an unconventional arrangement of furniture was used - the bed was placed along the window. This way one of the walls became almost completely free. It was there that the mountain landscape was placed, which gives the room additional volume and visually expands the space.

Bathrooms

There are two bathrooms in the apartment - a guest bathroom at the entrance and the main one. In the small bathroom, despite its small size, a comfortable sink 50x27 cm was installed. Above the installation, a large spacious cabinet for storing household chemicals was provided. To visually make the room look more spacious, light-toned ceramic granite and mirror-finished cabinet fronts were used.

In the main bathroom, a reconfiguration was made and the area was increased. A wall-mounted bathtub of elegant shape was installed, a countertop with two sinks was placed, and above the toilet a bathroom cabinet was mounted - it houses all necessary utilities (meters, water heater, leak sensors). The cabinet is mirrored on all sides, which makes it completely disappear in the space.

Entry Hall and Corridor

In the entry area and kitchen, very beautiful and quite active tiles from Spanish manufacturer Pamesa were used on the floor. "The project started with these tiles, exactly what the client saw in the showroom and couldn't stop looking at - she loved them," - the designer tells.
