Homes that were decorated for rental
A country house can be not only a place to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city, but also a profitable business. The demand for renting country houses is only growing, and competition among landlords is fierce. To make your property attractive to potential tenants, you need to pay attention to beauty, functionality, and practicality.
We have collected 5 successful examples that will help you decorate a country house for rental: you will find useful life hacks for any budget.
Hygge atmosphere and handmade furniture
Photographer Natalia Taminceva designed and decorated the house for rental at a cost of 3 million rubles. On 85 m² there are a bedroom and guest room, a kitchen-living room, a wardrobe, a bathroom, a boiler room, and an open veranda.
Design: Natalia TamincevaThe interior is finished with natural wood painted with light rubber paint. The cozy atmosphere is enhanced by non-load-bearing beams made of pine. Savings were made with furniture items that Natalia made herself: one of them is a suspended work table by the window. The kitchen countertop was made from a pine windowsill, which the owner herself coated with lacquer. A kitchen apron was not made — the painted wall is easy to clean and it works without one.

Design: Natalia TamincevaThe bedroom turned out simple but cozy: minimal furniture was used to not distract attention from the main feature — the view of a forest landscape. The veranda chairs were also made by Natalia herself — they fit perfectly into the hygge style.
Design: Natalia TamincevaTip INMYROOM: not everyone can make furniture by hand, but it's not a problem — fortunately, there are great ready-made options that won't hurt your wallet. Listings for home and cottage use are available on Avito at affordable prices.

House for 375,000 rubles: budget solutions without compromising comfort
A designer named Daria Sergienko was approached by the founder of a village in Chelyabinsk region who planned to rent out a small house to help potential residents feel the atmosphere of the village. Daria thought through the interior in a ready-made house: the time frame was tight, and the budget was limited. The challenge was to accommodate sleeping places, a working zone, and a living room with a fold-out sofa.
Design: Daria SergienkoFor finishing the main rooms, shiplap and laminate were used, while in the shower and sauna, larch and ceramic granite were employed. The walls were painted with white non-covering paint to visually expand the space and preserve the wood texture. Accent walls in bedrooms were done in natural tones to make the rooms more interesting. The layout is simple but very effective.

To stay within budget, furniture was bought in mass-market stores: light-colored walls served as a neutral background, so accents were added here too — a blue sofa and beds with white metal headboards.
Design: Daria SergienkoTip INMYROOM: as we mentioned earlier, a country house can become an additional source of income. You can rent out housing during your absence or build a small house for rental purposes. To quickly find tenants, use Avito Real Estate.
Step-by-step guide to renting out a house:

Smart micro-house 34 m² with everything included (even a roof terrace)
Our heroine Marina designed a modular house for rental. Its main feature is panoramic glazing that blurs the boundaries between the house and the forest. The construction area is small — only 34 m², but the interior is noticeably different from city apartments.
Design: Marina FesikThe kitchen was joined with the living room, separating one area from another by a bar counter. Minimal furniture and appliances were used: there is a compact cabinet, storage space, a small stove (main cooking takes place on a grill), two wardrobes in the living room, and a double sofa.
Design: Marina Fesik
Design: Marina FesikA smart home system, humidity sensor, and heated floors were installed. In the bedroom, a king-size bed was placed, and bedside tables were omitted. The micro-house has another good idea: almost all windows open, so residents can go to the terrace from both the living room and bedroom. Moreover, there is more than one terrace here: Marina created a patio on the roof.

The 70 m² house originally belonged to Irina for family weekend retreats. But fate gave the building an unconventional function: the house turned into a studio with aesthetic photo zones. Meanwhile, the warm atmosphere was preserved and useful solutions were created.
Design: Irina SapunovaIrina's goal was to make the space minimalist, not clutter it with old furniture like on Soviet dachas. Her heroine also came up with a bold idea for savings: there are no electric heaters here, instead, an air-to-air heat pump was installed to reduce heating costs in winter.

Design: Irina SapunovaTo avoid overloading the kitchen, instead of wall cabinets, one shelf was made. The house for photo sessions was suggested by a family photographer. The owner sought help from decorators: natural color palette, natural decor, and a wall made of firewood on the veranda were used — an excellent photo background. And, of course, string lights were not forgotten to create a festive mood.

Our heroine Elena arranged a small house for rental at 45 m²: it is suitable for living all year round, and the owner spent 900 thousand rubles on all the work. The house is built using classic frame technology with insulation: radiators for heating are installed on the first floor, and heated floors in the bathroom. The second floor is not heated — comfortable temperature is maintained thanks to the triangular shape of the building.
Design: Elena BogdanovaThe house is built from wood in 80%, so aromatherapy diffusers can be safely skipped — the space is already filled with a wonderful scent of pine. Elena's lifehack: an internal staircase that serves not only as a functional element but also works as an air shelf. During design, balusters were omitted in favor of vertical slats — they also separate the living room zone.
Design: Elena BogdanovaOn the kitchen, no regular doors were installed: the owner played with color, made a mint-colored wall, placed a small yellow refrigerator, and storage is provided by sliding wooden boxes. On the second floor, there is a large bed. Another experiment — a bright pink door made of solid pine on a loft-style handle, leading to the bathroom.
