Let's analyze the mistakes and improve our design awareness
Designer Victoria Pashinskaya shared 5 more mistakes to avoid when decorating small apartments.
1. Poor Furniture Arrangement
Piling large furniture items in the center of a room is not a good idea. It's much more ergonomic to place them along the perimeter.

Heavy curtains should only be chosen in light tones, otherwise they will make the space feel heavier. For small rooms, it's better to hang curtains with a light transmission rate above 50%.

Instead of overly bulky or too small lighting fixtures, consider installing recessed spotlights. You can always add table lamps or floor-standing torcheres as additional lighting.

According to design rules, a flat should not have more than 3 colors at once. However, any number of shades for those colors is allowed. Bright tones should only be used as accents.

A ceiling with 3 levels or more will make the space feel heavier. To visually expand a room, a two-level ceiling is sufficient.
