How to Budget-Friendly Decorate a Studio Apartment: Bright Walls and IKEA Furniture
Cozy apartment for rent
Studios intended for rental are rarely distinguished by interesting decoration. However, designer Anastasia Zarkua managed to thoughtfully plan and implement a vibrant and comfortable living space. We show what was achieved.
ReconfigurationOriginally, the studio was not particularly notable: a kitchen with access to a balcony, bedroom, bathroom, and wardrobe. In short, the standard 'Scandinavian' look – everything as usual. Since the owners did not express any specific design preferences except for the budget, Anastasia decided to let her imagination run wild.

Thus, vibrant summer tones replaced the dull neutral walls, and the hallway, kitchen, and storage room came alive with warm olive tones.
KitchenA white IKEA-style cabinet was installed in the kitchen, while open shelving was abandoned – this made the interior feel more airy.
Next to the window, a dining area was arranged: a bookshelf from IKEA played the role of a buffet. This decision was made due to lack of space for a full-sized cabinet.

FinishingThe blue wall in the bedroom does not weigh down the room and harmonizes perfectly with light curtains.
Light-colored laminate was laid in the living area, and ceramic granite in two terrazzo shades was used in the bathroom.

FurnitureA full wardrobe was organized in the hallway, so there was no need to occupy space elsewhere. In the bedroom, a cozy workspace and relaxation area were created instead of bulky clothing wardrobes.

Multicolored walls and bright paintings blend perfectly with budget furniture, and the overall atmosphere feels light and cheerful.
