Renovation for 1 million rubles

Is it possible to transform living space in the shortest time? Of course! For example, this flat was literally rebuilt from scratch in record-breaking two months.

Let's see how designers from FlatsDesign breathed new life into a completely ordinary and unremarkable apartment.

The owners of the flat are a young couple with a cat, and their main wish was a minimalist design with functional zones.

The old floors had to be removed, which made the ceilings 15 cm higher. The bedroom was re-designed so that it took a square shape and now accommodates a large wardrobe. The bathroom was expanded by 1.5 m² by moving one partition in the hallway.

As a result, all rooms became more spacious.

To reduce time and financial costs, the renovation was done in the 'dry construction' technique — 'dry floors' and gypsum board partitions were installed.

Instead of natural stone, typical for minimalism style, the floors in the hallway, bathroom and kitchen were finished with ceramic granite tiles from Kerama Marazzi, Italon and Cersanit.

Parquet of economy class Alpen was laid in the living room and bedroom. The ceilings were spackled, and the bathroom was leveled with gypsum board.

Furniture was chosen based on the owners' preferences and current assortment in hypermarkets. The majority of furniture and textiles were bought at IKEA and Hoff.

The kitchen cabinet with many shelves was selected from the 'Stylish Kitchens' factory catalog.

A platform bed with built-in drawers was made to order. It not only saves space but also costs less than separate analogs.

In the end, the entire renovation of a two-room apartment with furniture and finishing cost only 1 million rubles! What do you think of the result?
