From a 'killed' two-room apartment in an old house to a stylish and spacious flat
Designers created a true miracle
Even the most boring, far from fresh two-room apartment can be transformed into living space you want to return to. The very same miracle was created by El Born Studio designers with a 'killed' two-room flat in Moscow.

The backstoryThe designers Kate Alagich and Ilya Guliants were faced with a challenging but very interesting task: the flat owner requested to let in more light and air, as well as organize a convenient space for guests.
Designers expanded the corridor, which visually added more space, and separated the kitchen and living room from other zones using sliding glass doors.

Color paletteSpecial attention was paid to the color scheme of the interior. The owner wanted walls in neutral tones to avoid making the two-room flat look too dark and cramped. The corridor and kitchen with the living room were done in gray tones, the bathroom was executed in a milk-fuchsia color scheme, and a soft blue tone was added to the bedroom.
A bright accent was chosen in the form of a blue shade on one of the walls in the living room and yellow elements in textiles and furniture.

The kitchen apron was laid with graphic tiles, and the floor in the hallway — with mela. The corridor was beautified with a stylish accessory — a mirror with a black frame.

Finishing and furnitureBoth wardrobes were custom-made, bedding was also sewn according to the designer's sketches, and a vibrant rug in the living room was chosen by the owner based on their taste.

The real exclusive item was the sofa — it was designed and shipped from sunny Azerbaijan. Masters from another country managed to accurately convey the sharpness of lines and shape, so now it is a pride of the interior.
The dining table with a beautiful contrasting stripe was chosen from the Russian factory The IDEA. The brand produces furniture that easily fits into an interior thanks to natural materials, a wide palette of shades, and a huge variety of finishing combinations. The yellow accent on the table came in handy.
