Swedish Cottage with Interior That's Easy to Replicate
The interior of this house is impressive for its simplicity and coziness — it's easy to recreate on your own dacha
This cottage in Sweden was built at the beginning of the last century and was originally used as a summer house without heating or sewage. It was practically abandoned from 1935.
Five years ago, a new owner bought the house to renovate and improve it while preserving the atmosphere that once existed here.

Visually, the house closely resembles familiar Russian dachas: a neat porch with a roof and carved decorations on the facade. It does not look like modern Swedish houses 'made from a needle' — this building has its own atmosphere.
Inside it is even cozier: three bedrooms with walk-in closets, a full kitchen, dining room and living room are located on two floors. There are also several bathrooms and a laundry room. Everything needed for life in a large family.

The decoration is as simple as the interior. Walls in some rooms are panelled with tongue-and-groove, and printed wallpaper is used in living areas. Floors feature warm-toned planks in rooms and heated tiles in bathrooms.
Some windows are adorned with colorful stained glass, adding mood to the interior and creating an interesting play of light.

Coziness is enhanced by log fireplaces and a real tile stove — now the house is always warm and it's easy to come in winter. Thanks to decorative and textile details, the interior is interesting to explore.

The house is located on a large plot — here a fruit orchard has been established, greenhouses for growing berries and vegetables have been built. There is also an open veranda for outdoor relaxation.
There is also a side addition to the house where the kitchen and several other rooms were previously located. Currently, it is used as a guest cottage and workshop.
