Villa LL by Muhammad Aminé Siana
The Villa LL, designed by Muhammad Aminé Siana, is a residential project located in the northern residential area of Casablanca, Morocco. The client, an artist, wanted a home with sensual lines, curves and a protective yet unpretentious atmosphere. The house architecture is based on traditional Moroccan solutions with an internal courtyard, introspective and cozy, providing space for relaxation outside the noisy streets. The courtyard is the heart of the project, allowing cross-ventilation and natural light to penetrate adjacent rooms.

The project is located in the northern residential area of Casablanca on a plot measuring 1000 sq.m. The built-up area formed a rectangle of 20×15 meters. The client, who is an artist, wanted a house with curves, sensual lines, subtle yet unpretentious, protective without pressure or other restrictions that determined the architectural approach to the house.
Inspired by traditional Moroccan architecture, the house is built with an internal courtyard, introspective and cozy, aiming to create a space for relaxation outside the noisy streets. The house architecture is based on local climate, and the courtyard becomes the heart of the entire project, providing cross-ventilation and allowing natural light to penetrate surrounding rooms.
While the internal patio enlivens enclosed spaces, closed facades ensure privacy. Walls are carved and extended, and this game of vertical planes creates openings forming views and connecting the external context without being noticed.
An organic plaster ceiling was designed poetically to cover technical elements while maintaining the authenticity of the concrete slab. The living room, dining area and master bedroom frame a circular pool. An illusion of a second courtyard is created where the reflection of the house is drawn. Between white-washed walls and grey concrete slabs, two walls are covered with light green ceramic tiles to create a poetic connection between water and sky.
