Before and After: Stylish and Budget-Friendly Bathroom Renovation in a Khrushchyovka
The difference before and after the renovation is striking!
This bathroom in a two-room Khrushchyovka was transformed by designer Anna Karacheva. Before the renovation, the bathroom and toilet were separate. The outdated interior needed a complete overhaul to create a modern setting with thoughtful storage and space for a washing machine.

Initially, the apartment had two tiny bathrooms. One was a narrow toilet with a toilet bowl, while the other contained a bathtub and a small sink. This layout created certain inconveniences: there was no space for a washing machine or storage. The rooms looked dirty, dark, and uncomfortable.

As part of the re-planning, the bathrooms were combined. This decision not only significantly increased the space but also allowed for more efficient use of every square meter. The window between the bathroom and kitchen was retained but slightly moved, making it possible to install a shower cabin.

The walls were tiled in soft turquoise and white colors, making the space brighter and visually larger. The floor made of terrazzo-style ceramic tile contrasts nicely with the walls, adding a beautiful visual accent.

In the new bathroom, a toilet with installation, shower, washing machine, and sink with a cabinet were all accommodated. The towel warmer was relocated to the cold wall bordering the entrance hall. Finally, a mirror with lighting was added, creating a cozy atmosphere and making the space more modern and stylish.

Budget-friendly solutions and thoughtful planning turned the outdated bathroom into a stylish, bright room that will delight owners with its atmosphere and convenience.
