5 Cool Features in a Standard 32 sqm Panel House

This Moscow studio for a young family was designed by interior designer Yana Gaevskaya. In just 32 square meters, she created a vibrant modern interior and designed great storage solutions. We're sharing interesting ideas from the project that definitely deserve your attention.

Functional Kitchen

The kitchen space was utilized to the fullest. The corner kitchen cabinet is equipped with plenty of storage spaces — the upper cabinets reach the ceiling, and an additional cabinet was added above the refrigerator.

Original Window Sills

A standout feature of the kitchen is the window — its sills and windowsill are tiled with ceramic glazed tiles. The same tiles were used for the backsplash. When sunlight hits the textured glossy surface, it reflects and increases the amount of light.

Stylish Black Molding

The black stylish molding is the recurring theme throughout the entire interior. It starts with the mirror frame in the hallway, continues in the moldings around the window, and transitions onto the bedroom walls. It gives a stylish graphic effect and makes the interior visually more luxurious.

Cozy Relaxation Area

Near the window in the bedroom, a comfortable resting area was created — a convenient windowsill where you can settle with pillows, and a couple of vintage soft armchairs were placed. Visually, this area is highlighted with a soft blue color, painted on the walls and ceiling.

Interesting Wardrobe Solution

In the bedroom, the main storage is organized in a built-in wardrobe. It has varying depths to make opening the doors easy. The transition between the narrow and wide sections is decorated with a mirror.
