How They Designed a Bright and Stylish Passage Bathroom
Amazing design will surely bring a dose of inspiration
This bathroom is located in a Minsk Stalin-era building. Designer Anastasia Venedchuk decorated it for a ballerina and her husband. The highlight was an unusual layout with no dead-end rooms, allowing the whole apartment to be walked through in a circle. The entrance to the guest bathroom is from the living room, and access to the main bathroom is from the housekeeper's bedroom. This is very convenient: when there are no guests, the bathrooms can be left unlocked, creating a through passage from the corridor to the bedroom. When guests come, only the guest toilet remains accessible.

The walls in wet zones were tiled with white ceramic tiles. The upper part of the walls and ceiling were painted with saturated blue paint. It is associated with the water element: the reflection of water in the blue surfaces of walls and ceiling looks unusual and magical.

A real wooden window was custom-made from larch specifically for this bathroom. Thanks to its lighting, the window adds volume to the space, serves as atmospheric cozy light, and hides a secret – the old wall structure from 1952 was preserved in its original condition right behind it. Thus, opening this window allows one to literally touch history.

To maintain a classic style, matching fixtures were chosen: a pristine white bathtub on legs, retro-style sanitaryware, and a luxurious chandelier.

The guest bathroom was also made accent-focused, with the ceiling painted in the same color as the walls. Against a backdrop of modern finishes, the elegant sink and tall flush toilet with a chain look especially well.
