6 Interesting Storage Systems Used by a Designer in Her Apartment
These cool solutions will help make your interior stylish and functional
This three-room apartment was arranged by designer Cristina Paterekis for herself and her family. We show how she solved the storage issue.
Antresole Kitchen
On a small kitchen, we wanted to fit more storage space. Therefore, we chose a kitchen unit with antresoles, turning free centimeters into useful area. The kitchen is combined with the living room, and such a solution looks neat, without clutter — everything necessary is securely hidden behind white cabinet doors.
Wall-to-Wall LibraryFor the TV area and book storage in the living room, we designed shelves along one wall from MDF. They were glued together and painted. The lower facades were ordered separately.
Symmetrical Wardrobes in NichesFor storage in the bedroom, we built niches and integrated wardrobes from a well-known Swedish brand into them. This solution looks original and beautiful, and also saved money on built-in furniture.
Shelf NichesA pair of small recesses significantly simplifies life and solves the storage problem in the bathroom. The niches were painted in the wall color — this makes the space look cohesive and harmonious.
Storage Around the WindowShelving in the workspace was made symmetrically on both sides of the window. Storage was organized up to the ceiling, which allowed rational use of space and placing everything necessary.
Wardrobes in Wall ColorIn the hallway, a spacious built-in wardrobe system was provided. Original facades and vintage handles look very stylish and luxurious.
