Stylish interiors for your inspiration

Small kitchens are a complex task for those planning renovations. Our heroes proved that even in limited space, you can fit everything necessary and make it stylish and functional. We have selected four examples of interiors from Khrushchyovkas, where homeowners thought through every centimeter and created cozy kitchens.

Kitchen in the Corridor

In this 30 sq. m studio, designer Tatiana Makarova placed the kitchen along the wall of the former corridor. A small gray kitchen cabinet with round handles and an elegant marble apron add sophistication to the interior. Marble is present even on the door and window sills, underlining attention to detail and creating a sense of stylistic unity. The cabinet looks minimalist yet practical — it doesn't overwhelm the space, while gold accents in the tap and kettle bring elements of luxury.

The cabinet is well integrated into the apartment interior, allowing you to maintain a sense of spaciousness in a compact layout. The kitchen is combined with other zones: from it, through sliding partitions, you can get into the bathroom, and then to the hallway and further into the living room. This solution allows efficient use of every square meter while maintaining a cozy and functional space.

Spacious Corner Cabinet

In Vladislava's kitchen, a spacious corner cabinet was successfully arranged, maximizing the use of space. The upper cabinets reach the ceiling, allowing storage of all necessary items and avoiding clutter. Shelves between the cabinet and the window provide additional convenient space for dishes or decorative elements. Light-colored paint was used for the walls, and colored tile was chosen for the kitchen floor, uniting all tones in the interior.

The apartment is gasified, so a glass partition in black profile was used to separate the kitchen and living room. This solution not only meets safety requirements but also preserves the overall airiness and spaciousness of the apartment. All necessary appliances, including a dishwasher, are built-in, making this kitchen extremely convenient for daily life, while the zone separation gives the interior a sense of completion.

Small and Bright Kitchen

Kristina Paterekis created a cozy and bright kitchen in just 5 sq. m. The countertop was extended onto the windowsill, increasing the workspace, and the sink was placed by the window — a dream for many homeowners allowing them to enjoy the view while working. One of the walls was left in brickwork and painted white, adding texture to the interior and creating a sense of naturalness and warmth.

The gas stove was replaced with a new one and left open — it is hardly noticeable, maintaining the minimalist style of the kitchen. The pipes were painted in wall color, turning them into a decorative element. The built-in washing machine is hidden under the countertop, and shelves nearby add convenience. The boho-style interior is enhanced with lace curtains, woven elements, and a cozy chandelier, making the kitchen even more homey.

Light Classic

Oksana Barnash decorated the kitchen in a light classical style. The walls were painted with a base color. For the main background, they chose a calm tone, but on the kitchen wall, they decided to experiment and used a deep, dusty green color. The cabinet is made of Laminated Particle Board (115 thousand rubles), and the countertop is made from veneered board. Glass cabinets on both sides of the extractor highlight classical lines, and the absence of handles on some doors prevents damage and adds modernity. The gas stove was left exposed due to technical specifics, but it does not disrupt the design unity.

The kitchen is fully planned from a functional point of view. The dishwasher is built under the sink, and a multi-functional cabinet with a garbage disposal unit is located nearby. The upper cabinets are used for storing dishes and a first-aid kit, preventing clutter on the countertop. The windowsill in this kitchen has an additional function — it serves not only as a breakfast area but also as an extra workspace, which is especially important in small spaces.
