6 Genial Ideas for a Sauna That We Spotted in an Amazing Project
This is an absolutely innovative product that creates a WOW effect!
SkySpa Sauna is a unique space, the project of which was created by AI and brought to life by humans. The sauna is located in the city of Kolomna and sits on the roof of a building on the site of a former factory. This is an unusual spa in a fully automated complex with an incredible interior and all the options of a classic sauna. The SkySpa project is executed in the style of biologic futurism and offers a new level of relaxation for an audience looking for fresh impressions in the art of saunas, romantic meetings, cozy family vacations, or creative gatherings with friends. We've gathered genius solutions from the project that definitely deserve your attention.
Futuristic Design
The complex and airy dome-shaped structure is executed in a biologic style. It is characterized by the simultaneous proximity to nature and commitment to high technologies. The ascetic and slightly inaccessible exterior appearance with sharp outer angles contrasts with the interior - soft and enveloping natural textures, mirror surfaces, pleasant aromas that promote calmness, complete relaxation, and inspiration.

A modern sauna requires reliable and durable insulation to create optimal conditions for rest and retain heat. In SkySpa, the thermal insulation was made using LOGICPIR PIR Insulation Boards by TECHNONIKOL. These are new-generation thermal insulation boards based on enhanced polyurethane foam with a 40-micron foil cladding.
Due to the extremely low thermal conductivity coefficient, LOGICPIR PIR boards help quickly heat the steam room and maintain the desired temperature for a long time. To achieve such results, it is sufficient to install a thermal insulation contour from 30–50 mm thick PIR boards. The use of PIR boards is highly effective and safe. Even at very high temperatures (up to +120 °C), no harmful substances are released into the air: there are no chemical vapors or unpleasant odors.

The vapor barrier is already built-in as a foil-clad outer layer of the boards, which has zero permeability to moisture and creates a “thermos effect” inside the room. All you need is to tape all the joints of the PIR boards with aluminum self-adhesive tape — and the moisture barrier is ready.

The quality of LOGICPIR PIR boards is so high that they retain their properties for over 50 years. The boards do not absorb moisture, are resistant to mold and mildew growth - which is particularly important for saunas and steam rooms. The thermal insulation from TECHNONIKOL will last as long as possible and will not lose its properties over time.

Thoughtful Zoning
To make using the sauna comfortable and safe, its layout has been carefully planned. In the entrance area (vestibule), there is a changing room, a sink with a mirror, and a toilet on the right side. The relaxation area with panoramic views includes a table and comfortable chairs for four people.

Another effective innovative solution is the modified clay in the steam room area’s stylistic finish. Its natural composition looks aesthetically pleasing and original. The infrared radiation of clay is similar to the human body’s radiation, so even heat from heated clay surfaces has a beneficial effect on it. A feeling is created that the walls also provide soft warmth and heat just like a stove. It’s very pleasant and comfortable to be in such a steam room. The panoramic view from the window is impressive. All controls in the steam room are managed via a “smart system,” allowing for various scenarios to be created.

The shower in the sauna is also executed in an original modern design. It's a futuristic, convenient structure with multiple modes: classic tropical shower, single jet, and stronger dual-directional flow with lighting. A gentle water mist mode is also available, which cools smoothly.

The modern world is unique in its innovation. One of these innovations is parametric furniture created in a contemporary futuristic style. Its main advantages are functionality, ecological safety, strength, and durability.

Simple, minimalist details form a ribbed cloud shape that one can’t help but sit on. The furniture looks like a real art object and resembles natural, flowing forms - curved lines create a sense of peace, calm, and relief from stress.
