Interesting ideas that are easy to implement in your interior
The area near the window has great potential — it allows you to make maximum use of every square centimeter in typical apartments. We offer five beautiful interior designs from designers' projects that will help you create a cozy corner by the window for rest.
Space for Sleeping and Relaxing in a Small Studio
One of the most obvious ways to utilize the window area in a small apartment is to organize sleeping space there. The size of this studio is only 20 sq. m. To rationally use the available space, the furniture was custom-made. A design was developed that integrates a sleeping area. The bed placed directly against the wall with the window allows waking up with the sun and falling asleep while watching the night city. The mattress can accommodate large pillows and be used as a sofa.

In this bright and interesting apartment lives a young, active couple. Their life is full of sports and travel, and the home is always filled with guests. One of the project goals was to provide many places for them to sit comfortably together. For this purpose, the windowsill was equipped with a comfortable heated bench. The bench was decorated with small mosaic tiles — sitting on such a bench is very pleasant and comfortable.

A panoramic window in this spacious living room was complemented with a metal bench with a mat and pillows. It is convenient for reading and can serve as an additional guest seating area. The view from the window offers beautiful sunsets — you can watch how the city gradually comes alive or enjoy the view of night streets. Additionally, such a solution looks cute and very homey, completely transforming the living room's interior.

If you love reading and often spend time with your favorite book wrapped in a blanket, you'll appreciate the next idea. The owner of this bedroom reads a lot, so they provided a reading nook — a bench under the windowsill with bookshelves on both sides. The windowsill was widened and reinforced, a mattress sized to fit was placed on it, and a couple of pillows were added — now you can enjoy the result.

The interior of this bedroom is worth examining endlessly: frescoes on the ceiling depicting plants and angels, classical moldings, designer furniture. From the panoramic window, there is a magnificent view of a forest and beautiful urban development. There is no windowsill or niche near the window, so for pleasant time-passing, a classic-style soft lounge chair was placed. Observing nature and city views helps relax and recharge with a good mood.

In this living room, the continuation of the windowsill became a console on stylish ribbed supports.
