5 Practical Ideas for Decorating a Modern Bedroom

Designer Olga Shumantseva decorated a two-room apartment for a young woman, paying attention to every detail of the design. We present great ideas from the project that will help transform your bedroom into a cozy and comfortable space.

Accent wall in the headboard

To maintain the overall interior style, the wall behind the headboard was decorated with a fresco. It repeats the floral motif of the country concept, which runs through the design of the entire apartment and flows smoothly from one room to another.

Hidden wardrobe

Behind a sliding door, they created a full-sized wardrobe. To access the items, just slide the door to the left. The wardrobe uses all possible storage methods: drawers, rails, and pull-out shelves.

Functional workspace

Near the window, a convenient desk with drawers for storage and a special cover for cables was placed. Several outlets were also provided nearby for comfortable use of electronics. Visually, the workspace was highlighted using panels made of duroplast. They were painted in an accent color.

Furniture on high legs

The center of the room is occupied by a bed. It literally floats above the floor. The effect is achieved through dark high legs. The low headboard with rounded edges visually lightens the interior. The bookcase was also chosen on legs. Furniture on high supports makes it easy to clean with a robot vacuum.

Multiple lighting scenarios

This bedroom features five lighting scenarios: recessed lights on the ceiling, a chandelier in the center of the room, bedside sconces, special reading lights in the headboard area, and a convenient adjustable sconce above the desk. They provide thoughtful lighting for the bedroom and create the right atmosphere.
