To stay within a small budget, they used wall painting in one color and furniture from mass market

Svetlana Konykova and Ekaterina Malinovskaya from the Bilbao Design studio decorated a budget-friendly interior in a 65 square meter apartment. They took simple basic finishing and contrasting details as the basis. We learned from the designers the details of the renovation.

Layout

These are rental apartments for temporary housing. There was no need for many rooms in the apartment. The kitchen had to be combined with the living room, but not stand out. So they decided to make a niche wall for the refrigerator, oven, and microwave. They designed a partition so that it wouldn't block natural light from two large windows with views of the Volga.

Kitchen-Dining Room

The budget was limited, so they immediately decided to use IKEA furniture, which formed a certain Scandinavian style. For the kitchen backsplash they chose tile with a pattern — it adds dynamism to the interior.

Walls are painted and wall panels imitated using polyurethane moldings.

Living Room

The main task was to create a cozy interior within a limited budget. There was a desire to use ceramic tile on the floor for practicality. We laid it in a checkerboard pattern, which gave the look of parquet.

Neutral tones were used in the furniture, and two shades of green were applied on the walls to create an interior in a natural palette. Even in winter, there will be spring in the apartment.

Bedroom

One wall in the bedroom is covered with Scandinavian-style wallpaper. As for furniture, they used a rather typical set.

Entrance Hall

The entrance hall area was not separately highlighted by color. It has the same paint as in the kitchen-living room. They also repeated the rails from one of the living room walls.

The trick of the entrance hall is a tiled wall and a large mirror. This interesting solution makes the interior more stylish and adds dynamism.
