7 Decorative Techniques for a Stylish and Unusual Interior
Sharing ideas for creating an interior that will not be boring or ordinary
We have already talked about a very beautiful apartment that was decorated by designers from the Quadrum studio. Its interior has many effect techniques worth noting. We compiled a list.
Trash in Saratov: external wiring and scale tile
Colorful kitchen apron to the ceiling
It is impossible to remain indifferent when seeing a blue kitchen apron made of tile in the form of fish scales. The designers went further and laid the tiles all the way to the ceiling — instead of a boring monochrome wall, there is a real art object.

Kitchen sink in a country house style
The sink was chosen in the shabby chic style, it protrudes beyond the countertop. Such a model adds to the kitchen interior cozy charm of a Scandinavian country house. It's easy to maintain: the sink has a very durable mirror-polished surface, which keeps it smooth.

"Open" wiring
To avoid lowering the ceiling and drilling walls again, you can use decorative "open" wiring. It looks stylish, does not ruin the interior but rather adds a unique touch. In the dining area, the wiring was run along a load-bearing partition decorated with white brick.

And in the bedroom, pendant lights were installed this way: they emerge from one point at the center of a decorative socket and are mounted on the ceiling slightly further away.

Shelf with wallpaper back
Usually, a shelf for books and decor comes with a white rear panel or in the color of the frame. Here, another solution was used. The same wallpaper as in the hallway was applied behind the shelf, and the back panel was omitted. It looks stylish and unconventional.

Window opening in brick finish
In the bedroom, the window opening is visible. The designers decided to aesthetically decorate it with decorative white brick. This is an excellent solution that adds texture to the interior and protects the sills from chips and damage.

Colorful ceiling in the bathroom
The combination of white walls and blue ceiling is a very stylish solution. Effectiveness was added with flat ceiling cornices that visually lift the ceiling and add dynamics to the interior of a small room.

Picture on the door of a plumbing access panel
Often, designers try to hide the plumbing access panel using tile layout or placing a poster on top of it. Here, another solution was used — the access panel door itself became an artwork, painted with tropical leaves. Now you just need to figure out it's a functional element.
