How to Decorate an Interior in Neoclassical Style
We explain through the example of this stylish and elegant four-room apartment in a new building
Designers from IA.Buro decorated a spacious apartment with an area of 106 square meters in neoclassical style. The result is an elegant, luxurious interior with interesting details. We found out the specifics.
Layout
The clients are a young and active couple without children. However, they needed to plan everything in advance, so instead of the bedrooms offered by the developer, designers created three fully isolated rooms: a master bedroom, guest room, and study that can become a children's room in the future.

Kitchen-Dining Room
The clients wanted a bright interior with classical elements and a dark master block with a bathroom and wardrobe. The kitchen was custom-made: classic black and white cabinet combination was used. Upper cabinets are in matte white enamel, lower ones — in black.
Island with raked rounded sides and gold hardware. Island countertop — quartz.
Main household appliances — oven, microwave, wine cabinet, refrigerator — were built into kitchen furniture cabinets.

Classic polyurethane moldings were used on the walls, and ceiling cornices were made of plaster with built-in grilles for fresh air ventilation. Also present are brass elements, lighting, glass and mirrors.

Bedroom
A walk-in wardrobe leads to the bedroom. The interior is done in cool gray tones but appears very cozy due to textiles and accessories.

Many storage zones and lighting scenarios were provided in the bedroom: spotlights, a chandelier with classical socket, curtain backlighting, wall sconces.

Guest Bedroom
A very soft warm color palette was chosen for the second bedroom. Walls were also decorated with moldings, and a bed with a high soft headboard in 'carriage cord' upholstery was installed.

Study
The walls are painted in a blue tone, and the sofa was chosen to match. Raked facades on furniture are made from MDF, with glass shelves and backlighting provided.

Some elements were made from particle board (LDP), which saved a little money. Relief facades on the island and cabinet in the study are made from MDF.Bathrooms
The master bathroom was designed with a shower and two sinks, which is very convenient. For wall finishing, light and dark ceramic tiles were used along with an accent wooden panel made from moisture-resistant material (TSS panel).

The second bathroom is located near the entrance and serves both as a guest bathroom and will later become a children's room. Therefore, it features a shower and bathtub as desired by the clients. Same tiles were used here as in the master bathroom, but brass inserts were installed between elements — they add luxury and blend well with lighting fixtures.

Entrance Hall
In passageway areas, the same techniques as in living rooms were used: moldings on walls, monochromatic paint, gold accessories and hardware.
