Simple tips from a space organizer

Every item has its purpose: functional and/or aesthetic. If an item is not used for its intended purpose, it means it does not fulfill its function and has a value of zero rubles. How to understand this? If an item lies unused, it not only takes up space and energy but also hinders maintaining order. Catch the list of items that you can take right now and throw into the trash bag.

Mini shampoo bottles from hotels and samples from stores

"I need this, and I need that..." - a familiar feeling? When such cute mini bottles stand in a row on a clean, shiny shelf in a hotel, you just want to take them home. Maybe they'll come in handy at the gym or on a trip. But you always forget about them. And so they sit for years, taking up space in a drawer or on a shelf.

If you really, really want to keep some, leave only one set of reusable travel bottles. If you actually use miniatures frequently, gather them in one place to avoid a mess effect.

Factory packaging from any hygiene or cosmetic products

They carry nothing more than visual noise—pink, green, with labels and other prints. Get rid of the packaging immediately! All contents can be sorted into containers.

Cleaning products

If your bathroom cabinet is packed with cleaning products, it's time to sort them out and free up space. Of course, it's convenient to keep mirror or sink cleaning supplies nearby. Everything else can be moved to a utility cabinet or organized storage under the bathtub.

Children's toys

Where there are children, maintaining order is ten times harder! If toys have filled all surfaces and even the floor, it's definitely time to limit their quantity. Store your favorite swim toys in a small ventilated box or mesh bag.

Unused products and duplicate bottles

Critically inspect your bathroom shelves: do you really use everything? Answer yourself: is all of this truly necessary? Or will the contents of bottles likely spoil before you use them up?

According to a survey, in the top list of unnecessary items were handheld body massagers, massage brushes, cosmetic cases, and products you haven't used in a long time.

If there are such items that are tucked away deep and have even collected dust, it's a sign you forgot about them due to their lack of necessity.

But what to do if you feel sorry about throwing them away?

Lifestyle hack: If you haven't used certain items for a long time but can't bring yourself to get rid of them, try this approach.

Take a box (container), label it (e.g., "Items from the bathroom"), set a date to open it in six months to a year, and store it out of sight. If you don't open that box once during the year, then it's safe to say goodbye to its contents.
