Properly arranging living space according to the laws of nature can change one's destiny.

But first, you need to learn to treat your own home with love, attention, care, and respect, and begin to feel and understand it. Such interaction can be healing for all family members. How this works, explains Vedic astrologer Svetlana Kroyzer.

Knowledge of the science of "Vastu Shastra" was passed down to us by holy sages who lived on Earth many thousands of years ago. In Sanskrit, "vastu" means space, and "shastra" means knowledge.

Vastu Shastra can serve as a magical remedy for many problems, as it contains hints on how to create a harmonious space around yourself. However, one should not forget that balance and peace must first come from the person himself from the depth of his soul.

According to Vastu, a house is divided into favorable and unfavorable zones. For example, if the Northeast zone of a house is opened up, very positive changes begin to occur in one's destiny.

Harmonizing Living Space with Color Palette

Different energies of the universe are directly connected to different colors. Therefore, a particular color can effectively harmonize zones in living spaces.

Each specific energy can be associated with the color of furniture, walls, curtains, paintings, or decor.

  • North, Northwest, and Northeast — the most favorable zones; if there are windows here, curtains should be white.
  • For the West sector, light blue, beige, soft pink, blue with white flowers, and light gray tones are suitable.
  • In the Southwest zone, you can use dark orange, pink, linen with gold additions, but they should not be too bright.

  • In the South sector, light brown, sandy, and peach tones are recommended.
  • On the Eastern side, ruby and gold colors are harmonious.
  • Northwest is usually white and blue.
  • North is predominantly green, and Northeast is yellow.
  • In the Southeast zone, pink, violet, beige, and blue colors are recommended.

Golden Rules for a Prosperous Home

  • The entrance door to the house should always be brightly lit.
  • There should be no television in the bedroom.
  • Choose furniture only in rectangular or square shapes.
  • All corners of the house should always be well lit.
  • Remove mirrors from the kitchen and never place them there.
  • Do not store brooms, mops, or brushes on the kitchen.
  • Doors to the toilet and bathroom should always be tightly closed.
  • Do not allow doors to creak or make any other sounds.
  • Use only such doors in the house where the height is twice the width.
  • Water should never be present in the bedroom — not even a drop.
  • Hang a photo of your happy family on the wall in the living room.

  • Ventilate the house regularly.
  • The office should not be in the same zone as the bedroom. This will hinder success in both areas, as it mixes incompatible energies.
  • All windows in the house should open outward.
  • Never hang paintings depicting violence, suffering, poverty, anger, death, or loneliness.
  • Do not store clutter in the house: empty jars, unnecessary materials, empty boxes, useless items, torn clothes, wilted or dead flowers, and stale food.
  • Always keep your home clean.
  • Make it a rule to do a deep cleaning at least once a week to get rid of accumulated trash. Then ventilate the house and fumigate it with aromatic sticks.
  • Always keep the center of your living space (any room) free of tables and furniture.
