Bright house in Sweden with welcoming interior
Modern homes and apartments are shrinking, and the old-fashioned habit of visiting each other's homes is increasingly being replaced by meetings at neutral venues — in cafes or bars. This two-story house of 158 square meters in Stockholm, listed for sale by the Swedish real estate agency Bjurfors, is just right for fans of traditional gatherings with loved ones.

The layout provides for two floors and only five rooms, three of which are bedrooms. The remaining space is occupied by two bathrooms with a sauna in one of them, a wardrobe, a garage on the first floor, and two spacious public areas.

On the first floor, there is a living room with minimal furniture and decoration that can be accessed from a spacious hallway and corridor, which in turn divide the space into two parts.
Since there are no windows in this small room, it can be converted into an additional wardrobe or changing area. If more guests come than planned, extra space for shoes and outerwear will be very handy.

A small wooden staircase leads to the second floor, where there is another public area — a living room connected to the kitchen.
The kitchen itself is partially tucked into a niche, well-organized, despite its small size, and can accommodate all necessary appliances. Just enough to cook plenty of home-cooked food and set the table for a large group.

The dining room is located next to the cooking area, and if there's not enough space at the dining table for everyone, one can sit in the living room on a sofa, armchair, or wide buffet. The designers have very delicately separated the kitchen-dining room and living room zones using wallpaper: they chose a delicate stripe on one side of the space and solid-colored wallpaper on the other.

There are still more places to sit comfortably for a delicious meal and cheerful conversations: the house has a covered terrace, where it is also convenient to gather with a large group.
In summer, you can bring more cushions and throws, add planters with plants, and decorate the outdoor area with string lights — and the home atmosphere among family and friends will be much cozier and more intimate than in a cafe, no matter how you look at it.
