Redesign of a 33 sqm studio - how it was done

Recently we told about the interior of a tiny studio that was decorated by designers Alena and Andrei Timonin. Today we'll take a closer look at the redesign. See how in a studio they found space for an isolated bedroom and spacious storage systems.

Eliminated the corridor

The original layout included a small corridor at the entrance to the apartment. The designers decided to remove the partitions and merge the kitchen-living room and hallway spaces — immediately more space and light appeared. Because of that, the hallway now has many storage systems (just like in the living room), and even a bar counter was installed in the bedroom — not bad for just 33 square meters!

Isolated the bedroom

Previously, the bedroom could only be accessed from the hallway, and there was no door between the rooms. It was impossible to exit from the bedroom into the living room.

The designers decided to isolate the room and built a partition between the hallway and the bedroom — now you can only enter it from the living room. And if needed, close the door — for example, when guests are staying overnight.

Relocated the entrance to the bathroom

It was moved closer to the wide passage in the living room so that the door could open outward, not block the passage and not interfere with plumbing in the bathroom.
