Ornament in Interior: How to Use + Examples
To implement these techniques, we recommend using polystyrene moldings, panels and ornaments: they are lightweight, durable, do not lose their properties over time, can be mounted independently and painted without prior priming.
Texture + saturated print
An ideal option for lovers of minimalism. Geometric ornaments have solid advantages: they make the interior more interesting without overloading it, which is especially important for small spaces.
We like the technique used by Olesya Shlyakhtina in her project: take a look at how the print on the wallpaper echoes the texture of wall panels.
How to replicate?
For the lower part of the wall, choose a textured decorative panel made of polystyrene, and cover the upper part with bright wallpapers whose print repeats the texture of the panel.

Moldings + geometric decor
In Olga Boytsova's project, the geometry of the carpet and kitchen apron pattern is supported by thin double moldings painted in a tone matching the walls — very effective.
How to replicate?
Decorate the wall with minimalist moldings and paint it in a pastel shade. Accentuate the geometry with decor: posters in contrasting frames and graphic prints on textiles.

Ornaments or coffered ceilings
Another unconventional way to add depth to a space. If ceiling height and interior style allow, you can choose coffered ceilings made of polystyrene. If not, there are many options for decorative ceiling panels that do not «eat up» the room height.
How to replicate?
To avoid over-decorating, we suggest making such a textured ceiling the main accent — let the rest of the finishing be neutral: monochrome walls, minimalist furniture.

Plant motifs
Yes, bright and vivid tropical motifs captivated our hearts a few years ago and remain trendy today. But we still recommend paying attention to more delicate versions of plant patterns.
For example, in Nadezhda Zотовa's interior: the role of an accent ornament here is played by the moldings on the candlelit fireplace and mirror decor.
How to replicate?
Walls and faux fireplaces can be adorned with delicate moldings in the form of plant motifs — they can be bought separately and thus compose a design according to personal taste.
