Cozy Country House Interior You Will Love
This countryside house in Park City – a ski resort in Utah – has been a long-time dream of the clients of American designer Nicole Davis. They approached her with a request to decorate the house so that it could be enjoyed not only during holidays but all year round, and each member of the large family would find a place in it that suits their taste.

The first "public" floor, in addition to the required living room, kitchen with dining area and office, includes a spacious hallway with floor-to-ceiling windows. The separate terrace on the second floor above the hallway is a favorite spot for the grandfather and grandmother. They often relax with family members, and Nicole designed this area for quiet tea breaks and breakfasts. The rest of the second floor is dedicated to bedrooms, children's rooms and bathrooms.

To avoid mistakes in choosing furniture, lighting, textiles and accessories, the designer and the clients went to explore the selection of art galleries and home boutiques.
According to Davis, it was important to show the clients a different approach to buying items that will fill the home. In her view, before selecting a lamp or a throw blanket, one should first be inspired by real art, beautiful objects or paintings – and then the image of what fits a personal home will begin to form in one's mind.

Another important wish of the clients was to have paintings and family photos in the interior. The majority of the paintings were hung in the hallway and rooms, while Nicole did not scatter the photographs randomly throughout the house. Instead, she suggested dedicating a wall for them and styling it in a unified manner. This gave the clients a place in the house with an aesthetic mini-exhibition.

The mesmerizing mountain contours, visible from the windows of the house, served as a starting point for the color palette. Davis filled the living space with blue, pale green, gray and sandy shades, using white walls and exposed ceiling beams made of French light oak as the backdrop.
According to the designer, accents in brass, gold and other warm-toned metals are not a trend but an timeless design element.
