Where else you can place decor

We know how to decorate an empty wall or bed headboard. But there are many other places in the apartment that you shouldn't forget to decorate.

Room Corners

The best way to use this space is to hang corner shelves. If you don't want to drill holes in the wall, just place a shelf-ladder in the corner.

Another option is to put a wicker basket: it will decorate any interior, especially if you put decorative pillows and a throw on it.

Columns and wall protrusions are great for decoration just as much as niches – Anna Muravina decorated hers with ceramic plates with nautical themes. The creator of the work is Diana Balasheva.

Walls of a Narrow Corridor

It's not easy to decorate a long narrow corridor harmoniously. To make the decor look in harmony, choose items that repeat the shape of the room – rectangular and elongated.

Tables and Poufs

Furniture can serve not only practical functions but also decorative ones. For example, Inna Velichko used a pouf in her project for this purpose, placing a stylish composition on it: a metal tray, vases made of colored glass, and an exotic flower.

Bathroom

Although the bathroom is more of a personal space where guests don’t stay long, it’s not good to leave it completely undecorated. Place a few moisture-loving plants in beautiful planters – for example, cyperus or begonia. Alternatively, vases with fresh or artificial flowers.

Kitchen Counter

For decoration, buy beautiful containers made of colored glass – don’t hide them in cabinets, but arrange them on display. If you don’t cook much, you can also put a couple of bright pictures or reproductions on the countertop. Nadezhda Zотовa complemented such a composition with vases made of colored glass on the windowsill – they replace traditional potted plants.

Kitchen Cabinets

Use this space for storing items you don’t use often – for that, you can buy several attractive baskets, jars, and other containers. Or place a set of dishes that you only use for holidays there. Souvenirs from different countries will also fit well – for example, ceramic plates.

Space Above the Door

You don’t need to build built-in wardrobes for this – it’s enough to hang a shelf, a painting, a poster, or any other decor above the door frame.
