Fairy Tale Santa Claus House on the North Pole
Everyone has surely heard about the famous Santa Claus village in Lapland. To visit his residence and see elves in person, people from all corners of the earth come here every year. But this is not the only place where the elusive grandfather works and rests: there are also others, classified. One of these places is Santa's house on the North Pole – it was "revealed" by the American real estate rental service Zillow.

It turned out that Santa doesn't need too much for comfortable living. The house, built in 1822, is 230 square meters, with two floors and two bathrooms. On the second floor, there is traditionally a relaxation area, which includes the owner's bedroom and two guest rooms – just in case someone stays over for the night.
On the first floor, there is a fireplace, living room, and kitchen (yes, exactly in this order – just take a look at the impressive size of the fireplace!)

The kitchen is convenient and modern, with a peninsula and many cabinets. There's room for a large refrigerator, microwave oven, and a quality mixer – apparently, Santa enjoys not only eating cookies but also cooking them himself.

The idea to transform the interior came to Santa four years ago. At that time, he approached designer Marianna Bright. The work was meticulous, as apart from the main house, everything on his 25 acres had to be updated – including tiny elf houses, a garage where the sleds are parked, and a stable.

However, it wasn't necessary to change the charming and endlessly cozy atmosphere of Santa's house with wooden walls and ceilings, so Marianna only slightly refined it. In the end, the large fireplace mentioned earlier appeared in the living room, and the space above the dining area was cleared up to the very roof – according to Marianna, there used to be a regular, quite low ceiling.

As for the decor – it is the most traditional winter one: a yellow-green-red color palette, textiles in a Scottish pattern, northern folk motifs, lots of fresh fir trees, and images of reindeer. In short, everything as in good Christmas tales.
