There is a reason to consider several important recommendations to make the design of the future room pleasing to the eye:

The lighter, the better

Light colors visually expand space, dark ones narrow it. A small living room will look perfect when wallpapers are monochrome, preferably beige, milk, peach or cream colored. It is better to avoid prints. A bedroom looks nice in soft blue, pink, salad, or lilac tones.

It is preferable to make ceilings and floors in light color palette, they should harmoniously blend with the wallpaper tone.

Division into zones

A small living space should become as comfortable and functional as possible, so it is recommended to divide it into zones. Two zones can be separated by a bookshelf, a small dresser or a small sofa. It is worth resorting to such trendy items as a screen, which can always be easily removed.

Proper lighting is very important for a small room. In this case, built-in light fixtures or ceiling spotlights with pendant lights will be suitable.

A great option is multi-level lighting. Additional zones in the room can also be equipped with mirrors, table lamps or floor lamps that are easily reachable.

Large mirrors will be appropriate. By reflecting light, a mirror visually increases the size of the room; it is better to place it opposite the window.

A mirror closet will also be suitable. When choosing furniture, preference should be given to items with glass doors and countertops that, together with glossy surfaces, reflect light.

Comfortable living room

If a small room is intended for a living room, it is important to choose the tone of walls, ceiling and floor. Light tones are mandatory. It's great when the room has a large window, meaning there is good natural lighting, but this happens rarely. Therefore, it is necessary to plan in advance what light sources will be used.
It is not advisable to hang a large chandelier, which visually narrows the space, or place bulky furniture. Miniature armchairs and a coffee table or a small sofa are what you need. As in the photo.

Decorating the walls with paintings should not be overdone. Either one large painting in light tones under glass, or several small ones in soft frames.

Modern Roman curtains, light fabric or bamboo blinds look great in a small room. It is better to avoid decorating the window with long curtains or curtains with large patterns.

Small cozy bedroom

The main item for a bedroom is a bed. A small space sometimes can only hold the bed and nightstands. It is also desirable to have at least a built-in wardrobe. If space is extremely limited, why not take advantage of the opportunity to equip a bed that can be tucked into a cabinet during the day? Sometimes an even better idea is to use a suspended bed.

Children's room for two

If two children will live in a small children's room, it is appropriate to make bright walls. The most suitable option in this case is a folding ladder-style children's bed where the bottom tier can be pulled out on wheels for sleeping. Such a bed will be most compact, leaving space for play. Toys can be conveniently packed in sliding drawers, clothes can be hung in a compact built-in wardrobe. It is also possible to make a two-tier bed. Ideas for renovating a small space where a study will be set up are also always associated with a light interior and functional furniture. A small space implies the presence of a computer table, a chair, a small bookshelf or a bookcase. It is important to follow the same principles as in decorating a living room. How to store things

A room with minimal furniture looks more spacious. It is not advisable to clutter a small space with bulky wardrobes. For small rooms, modular furniture that stands along the walls or multifunctional furniture is suitable, in this case, transforming furniture is ideal. Built-in wardrobes are also an excellent option; they save a lot of space.

A great idea is to use sliding drawers in the lower part of the bed. An improvised storage space, as in the photo, can hold many useful small items.Things will always be within reach, and order is guaranteed.
Girl's room

The idea of renovating a room where a girl will live should serve to create an enchanting space with a light interior, airy curtains, and filled with cute little things. It is not advisable to clutter the girl's living space with furniture.
A small bed, a cozy sofa, a chair, a compact wardrobe and a small table in light colors will make it attractive.
